Between the Arp Odyssei and the iMS 20, which synth would you recommend to a beginner who can afford only one of them?
It is just a random opinion but I tend to use ODYSSEi more. I just love the sound of that thing
ODYSSEi all day long, but grab the expansions too while they are on sale. The rev 1 and rev2 kits have iconic presets, I mean the device exudes 70s acid vibes so much, psychedelic arp’s, obscene grit, crispy tings, a square bass that will hit so got damn hard that you find every excuse to use it. My favorite preset is the Honoria one.

thanks for the odyssey patches! I liked the virtual so much I got the behringer one with xmas slider lights! It was fun to really have hands on immediacy , and the tone is great (as is iOS). I wonder if I can use the midi out to 'midi learn' the iOS version?> Have like 3 versions and the sliders could match. Seems kinda simple but I just thought of that. I was sorta shocked the speedy kong hardware didn't have midi out, kinda a midi show stopper for me... I like em all tho but the bear def won in my case. Cheers, back to sales.

For those on the fence about the Korg romplers, just wanted to mention the pleasure it’s been with the auto mappings in Xequence, Auto Fills, Octochrodon, and others. I’m a big Gadget/Reason UI workflow guy even in 2024 using AUM.
