Sic Semper Tyrannis.
I forget the name of the Moog developer who occasionally posts here, but he has one.
Is it really cancelled, or was that just the usual wishful thinking from a sad cynical YouTuber who makes a living saying "told you so" in very elaborate ways?
If it's true, then that's a real bummer. I would have loved a Vision Pro. If it weren't financially out of reach I'd own one already.
Wishful thinking honestly that’s what this video is.
The vision pro is heavily developed for industrial and commercial use. I’ve seen car, mechanic simulations, airplane radars in an AR environment, and medical surgery training using the Vision Pro. And it’s really good.
Apple has financing programs tailored to small businesses as well.
But you don’t even need to finance it. Go to the Apple Store they are doing free demos of it and you can arrange with them for a tailored experience to let you properly test the device.
I’ve gone on my fifth demo and each time I go I’m seeing a lot of the software that are been developed for it.
Algoriddim did an AR version of DJAY Pro. It gives a virtual turntable.
Yeah, Geert from Moog has been doing a lot of experiments. He shared his Animoog on Vision Pro vision.
But as of last week, they haven’t perfected the stream from iPad to Vision Pro. The Stream from Mac to Vision Pro works well.
Source: I went to my favorite Apple stores, tested it, and talked to the Apple Geniuses and their Managers.
Yah could just be trolling Tim Apple... or maybe it is just the first one winding down and there would be a second

It's the apple pods speaker scenario all over again.
Develop a big premium one, then discontinue it and release a budget version for developers and general adopters to use.
Like I said previously, probably by iteration 3 or 4 it'll be cheaper and lighter by then (probably with fewer metal and glass components). As it is today, it's one of the best AR/VR headsets available and most people in that field will admit this.
Ignorance abounds. Apple Vision Pro is going gangbusters in the industry that I work in…. We have enterprise entitlements in the sdk for direct access to the cameras and so on.
On Reddit those who've installed the latest betas for VisionOS and MacOS are going crazy over the ultrawide virtual monitor support.
It’d be nice to know what their plans are, I need some way of using a headset with my Macs as soon as possible, sadly the quest 3 still isn’t properly supported. It’s nowhere near as powerful but as a headset it’s pretty damn good, especially at the current price…
It was released Feb 2 this year…my guess is that we’ll learn about product plans in Feb 2025
What industry is that?
Clinical Applications, Forensic Sciences, Emergency preparedness
Why would anyone be surprised that groundbreaking technology changes don't immediately get started off on the right foot? Of course there are going to be fits and starts. Of course they're going to have to adjust their strategy repeatedly.
It could well be that Apple has already found a promising next generation direction and is simply not wanting to end up with a shitload of outdated inventory when they bring it to market.
I'm not one to think Apple is infallible by any stretch, but this feels like simply basic product development stuff here. Sure, they could be throwing in the towel or cutting their losses. Doesn't smell like that to me though.
Possibly Search job postings at Apple website…see how recent the new positions have been posted for AVP.
Not rocket science imo
But more work than just trolling AB forum
