Regarding the percussion app plenty of the percussionists in India would easily buy such an app as I described.
This app would not only cater to iOS music makers but also to various percussion virtuosos/professionals around the world.
In India tabla masters could have their tablas sound like ghatams while ghatam players could, thanks to the app, have a ghatam sound like a tabla!
This would open up so many new possibilities of expression and take the improvised ”call & response” prevalent in Indian music, to even new heights.
The players could respond by sounding like the caller and vice versa.
If one applied this possibility to all types of percussion then, just as a simple example, djembe or darbuka players could play but have their instruments sound like congas, or anything else for that matter.
Endless possibilities with such an app.
I really hope @moForte develops an app that is more like Impaktor where one can trigger the sounds via the iPad mic or things with a piezo on it.
