BX Digital V3 huge savings on Plugin Alliance - was $150 now $9.99 for a couple of days. This is a pro level equaliser with some unique features...lowest price I think I've ever seen.

Thanks so much for this. Just nabbed it. Looks fantastic.

Saw this on the Bedroom Producers Blog website. All Dear Reality plugins are now discontinued and free by signing up to the Sennheiser newsletter. Some really interesting spatial effects. Only available for a limited time i think.

Cool beans - never heard of Dear Reality or any of their plugins. Looks like the company is being rebranded as Ambeo. 3.1 GB required to download all of their plugins.

I've been exploring Midiphrase in demo mode, and it’s an intriguing piece of software. It might appeal more to someone with advanced experience, as its concept draws inspiration from Remidi’s approach. Essentially, each pad contains a MIDI phrase, allowing you to trigger and experiment with phrases directly from the keyboard.
It comes with a library of phrases that you can add to. The phrase browser has a staff like display and you can add articulations and other notation to it (as far as I can tell, it doesn't add those for you). You can also create and store your own phrases.
The workspace offers several MIDI operations. The standout features include the ability to extract the rhythm or tones from one phrase and apply them to another. There are also convenient tools for tasks like generating chords from single notes, flipping phrases either vertically or horizontally, and handling MIDI CC controls.
If you're interested, the demo can be downloaded here: Midiphrase Demo. The full manual is available on their website, though it’s not particularly detailed—the accompanying video tutorials provide more insight: Midiphrase User Manual.
Normally priced at $100, it’s currently available at a 60% discount. Personally, I feel $100 might be steep for its feature set, but opinions may vary. However, I did run into some issues, such as unreliable undo/redo functionality in Mixcraft and corrupted files that caused me to lose a couple of saved phrases. Despite these setbacks, I appreciate the concept of storing phrases—it’s innovative and worth exploring further.
On another note, RapidComposer is also on sale at 40% off, including some sub-products priced at $30 or less during the promotion.
While I haven’t experimented much with RapidComposer (I already use melody-generating VSTs), it does seem promising. Here are two interesting sub-products:
Both are included with RapidComposer for $120, which feels like a better value. RapidComposer also works with a library of phrases that you can add to. Though you can preview the phrases, the display is smaller and doesn't have articulations shown, etc.
Worth noting is that RapidComposer also offers the ability to apply rhythm, melody, and phrase shapes from one MIDI sequence to another, similar to Midiphrase’s functionality. However, it doesn’t include the Remidi-like pads, which is a unique feature of Midiphrase.
One downside is the steep learning curve—some features, like drawing new notes on phrases, aren’t as intuitive compared to Midiphrase. Still, it has a ton of features.
By the way, is there anything equivalent to either of these on ios?
Anyone here subscribe to the UVI sonic bundle??
Amazing plug-ins especially falcon 3!
I usually hate subscriptions but i could never afford all half the stuff you get with this.
@reasOne Are you talking about SonicPass?
Yup the pass. Hard to remember all the words lol
Recently i switched back to ableton, iOS music production was not getting me anywhere. Discovered UVI and kontakt instruments and i have been writing songs again. Its been a nice change of pace. I’m still using iOS synths and MIDI effects.. sampling or recording into ableton. But trying to write songs on iOS alone is almost impossible and a lot of work for me
Highly recommend UVI - SONIC PASS to anyone stuck on iOS and isn’t trying to drop 100s-1000s of dollars
@reasOne Subscriptions don't make sense for my use case, but I'm glad it's working well for you. 👍
I'm content with slowly working my way up the food chain by purchasing their emulations at $19 a pop. It's death by a thousand cuts, but with less guilt. 😉
I'll probably get the UVI Sonic Bundle, as it's 'only' €299 for me. Still a lot of money, but not jumping on this offer would be a mistake considering the amount of quality instruments and sounds I think. Very tempting in any case.
(though the offer might come back at some point)
Sanjay makes it palatable too
@cabo It's an awesome package, for sure, but too rich for my blood ($399 upgrade, in my case).
Good luck with your decision!
I was trying to talk myself out of it too but it seems I can't resist .. a recurring phenomenon
