I will keep on publishing the ten most "relevant to me" features.. might end up with even more. This export and import of midi / audio clip might be a basic feature, but still quite handy..
Collecting some basic features and presenting my template construction with Loopy Pro Beta - maybe nothing new for advance Loopy Pro user. And not going to details. Still thinking that it's a good idea to think about the foundation features and use the ideas from there to build up templates.
Still going on with videos to so some useful features from Loopy Pro and templates including auv3's (both instruments and effects). This time it's all about the details - sorry for the poor quality - only want to quickly demonstrate, I'm so bad in dealing with the videos..

Having fun yesterday evening with my daughter. We pre-selected loops that we liked and then jus adding effect in Loopy Pro Liveset template. We didn't have to change pages, used mute and unmute and of course variety of auv3 effects.. The main idea thing was to have FUN 🤩

Will keep on publishing videos ;-)

Publishing series of videos related to Loopy Pro TopTen features especially with my templates - this one is about co-operation with KOALA APP+auv3 effs, which can be bi-directional.. Coming back to that later
Hi again.. Still some features left for my TopTen 😉
Special features part I - implemented in the template
Upcoming features to my template (s)
Thinking of implementing a special page for hardware like MPC or SP just to record audio clips conveniently
Improvements to song page
Automation improvements (triggering / resetting capabilities)
Grouping effects and adjust / activate them in groups
Improve defaults after resetting
Etc..
Please buy me some coffee to keep me going on - I'm quite old so easily getting exhausted ;-)

Here is the tryout and some Jamming with MPC, SP and LP - Video might be too sparkling and not checked, so sorry

Hi All! Thinking loudly about the limiters, compressors and somekind of auto gain to use normalization.. would it be enough to add them to inputs? Then the 'final' audio clips would have more stable volume levels for playbackin scenes.. Or do I need to add them also to effect buses, if I do should they be in post position.. Would appreciate any comment on topic
Adding limiters is also going to add latency in most cases, so having them on the inputs might not be ideal.
Thanks, latency is good to take into account. Just bought FAC Maxima.. will test that on input channel
Imo, you should set the input gain to give you lots of headroom. so that there isn't a need for an input limiter.
If AUM's node statistics are to be believed, Maxima adds 42.7ms latency. That's quite a bit higher than the few other limiters I've looked at so far.
Have you considered just going with Loopy's dynamics processor? If you're making templates for others to use, limiting the proprietary FX where possible seems like a good practice.
I don't know what latency Loopy's dynamics processor adds, but you may be able to find out from Michael.
I just did a quick test and the latency is 5.3 ms on my iPad 6.
Barricade is reported as 2.7ms
My latency test was to load AUGenx as an instrument. Set up two send buses: A and B. A panned hard left with no effect. B panned hard right with the effect loaded ore fader. Both buses set to send to orange. Start orange recording and tap the impulse button a couple of times. Export the recording and measure the distance between the impulses in the left and right channels.
As controls , I did the same with no effects and with the effect loaded but turned off. Only the trial with the effect on showed any latency
@wim @espiegel123
Some really great thoughts and thanks for sharing the measurements..
When building generic templates need to certainly consider to limit the usage of effect overall.. but overdoing it now while testing out some good combos.. will chevk Loopy's own effs also more 👍
Starting a series of videos to show potential of combining MPC Live 2, SP 404 Mk2 and even MacBook (with Logic Pro and NI Komplete instruments and bundle of plugins as a playback purpose) with iPad software like Loopy Pro and Koala App.

Recording to Loopy Pro with adding live played effects from AUV3's like Tornado, or from standalone devices, which also have a huge capacity to produce..
Might also extend or shrink the setup and ideas based on experience..
@wim @espiegel123
Actually tested Maxima, Barricade and LP internal Dynamics eff - all of them had too much latency - so best option is to adjust the gains manually to match - I'm using usb mixer now and also added 20db's boost to input channel, still not peaking.. Effect buses I still need to test, because they are often peaking, especially when overdoing - but also considering to set all ranges to convenient levels with adjustments..
Some clumsy presentation of the mixer features. So much routing could be done..
Now published my "TopTen features" - but still covered a small part of the areas while dealing with Loopy Pro templates..
Advanced levels in all - you can dive so much deeper even with fundamentals of audio and midi clip
As well as colours and groupings fundamentals re quite critical to understand..
Routing capabilities - advance mixer settings and potential
Midi controllers connecting with LP
Liveset approach - Examples with multi-ipad syncing etc.
Different Workflows as an option to traditional DAWs (like timeline usage and Looping)
Just to share a few.. And I have no official connection to LP, just excited to tryouts ;-)
Which Topic would you prefer? Certainly they are in manual and wikipedia.. Still maybe a good idea to make videos?
Sharing info about some new features while working with Loopy Pro templates.. Adding specific effect handling on Instrument and Beat pages.. and leave complex settings and adjustments to "advanced" effect page. Just played a bit with Korg Module, Audiolayer and iSymphonic and the effects

@espiegel123 I have not yet checked the latest roadmap, but can you shortly comment have it been considered to have replace functionality to auv3 effects also (as it is in Midi and Auv3 instruments). And the second question is quite fatal to my template - not possible to connect physical dials for browsing presets in LP dials (widgets)? Sorry ofr dedicated need for attention with this - Just so busy with so many issues, but still want to push the templates to their limits..
Replace is already there for instruments. Long-press on an instrument in the mixer. Replace for effects isn’t available at this time.
Midi can be used to control loopy pro dials.
@AkiVilla : what problem are you having controlling preset dials with midi knobs?
@espiegel123
Maybe there is another way, I haven't thought?
Thanks. Have lot's of experience replacing auv3 instruments and same with midi controllers, but it would certainly be handy for auv3 effects also - but so much on the roadmap, so probably will not add additional requests..
And as someone said there are several different types of requirements trying to push Loopy to a little bit more DAW direction, but also keeping the loopers happy - I see that can be challenging. But thanks to "Loopy Pro team" for doing this!
