I see the issue, I'll get it fixed in the next update
Standalone vs AUV3:

Standalone in my iPhone (iOS 18.x)
Dev just said they’ve seen the problem so no need for me to speculate, but maybe it’s an ios version thing? Anyways, I’m definitely updating to iOS18 before iOS26 comes out because I’m just not vibing with the latter right now.
@AnalogMatthew
THANK YOU. I think this just became my new "start any new track" synth. Really nicely done, and that it's free boggles my mind.
What's "sparkle hall" and how is an lfo supposed to affect it?
I think the "level" control for reverb could use a recalibration. Anywhere below about 2 o'clock and it's nearly inaudible (to me, of course).
Oh man I wish we could get Valhalla to release a reverb for iOS. Since you've incorporated it here, maybe you could suggest it?
It's true that VSTs just don't capture all the nuances of analog gear, particularly filters and tape. But they get pretty darn good, as you've shown here. I think for me the problem is that not enough variety is available in filter models. Several synths have selectable poles, ladders, etc... but, for example, only one VST ever released has the absolutely unique sound of the JX8P. For some reason, no developer has modeled that for iOS. Am sad.
Any way. Beautiful, brilliant work, and your ethic is inspiring.

Wut?! Is that actually a Valhalla algorithm? Yummy.
yes
@AnalogMatthew this sounds so damn good!
My only request (if we’re allowed to make requests!) is the ability to toggle the oscillator semi tune slider into a fine tune slider. The ‘semi’ label could be a button like the wave selection one.
I think the algorithms in Eos 2 were done by the Valhalla dev, before he founded Valhalla.
What an awesome synth by the way!
Sparkle Hall is a feature of the reverb, the "II" button on the reverb panel. Not sure how the LFO affects it; maybe try it?
fat fat synth. thank you so much!
keep them coming.
Fantastic synth, sometimes the best things are free.
Does anybody have the experience: MIDI learn does not work. The (standalone) app crashes the moment you "touch a button or slider" as instructed. I can manually add mappings though - no problem. Sadly the MIDI learn functionality is not available in the plugin. Even the display of the "LAST RECEIVED CC" is not working. On the other hand MIDI maps do work in the plugin.
Did, of course. Didn't notice a difference? Could certainly be just me.
Works for me, but I believe you.
What kind of MIDI Controller are you using? And, how are you connecting? (Bluetooth, USB, Network, etc)
Are you using latest 0.92.1 version?
Thanks for the kind words
It's a brighter reverb, accessed by the II button on the reverb as @uncledave mentioned. LFO can toggle it on or off
You're in luck, because Sean's (fellow behind Valhalla) reverb algorithm is already available, for free

I am using an Arturia MicroFreak as controller. The synth is connected via USB (hub & camera adapter) to the iPad. But I think this is a “native” J6 crash, because it even crashes without any USB/MIDI hardware and not even the camera adapter connected. I am using the latest version 0.92.1 and even reinstalled J6 - it still crashes.
My setup: iPad 9th generation with iOS 18.5
Okay, this thread is super long, and I'm trying to find the tip jar in the app itself (rather than the plugin version) and can't find it. That's really my only complaint, lol. This app is incredible, and I can't believe it's being given for free! So you deserve some compensation @AnalogMatthew .
It's not crashing here on midi learn - same iPad and OS version. I tried from a NanoKEY Studio over both Bluetooth and USB via CCK and hub.
I assume you've tried a reboot of the iPad?
I can't find it either in the standalone.
Perhaps @wim found it? 😉 He's sharper than I am.

Thanks ✌🏼
However, I am mystified over the logic behind how taps on the icons at the top affect the layout. It takes me randomly tapping on stuff for a few minutes to get back to the layout I want.
Anyone know the formula?
You have to click on the "i" on the upper right side and then "Thanks". Alternatively, you can follow the link : https://donorbox.org/synth-one-j6, which @analog_matt left on page 6 to bypass Apple.
I think it keeps the tab your tapping on top and scrolls the bottom part through the other tabs in the order the tabs are arranged.
EDIT: It doesn't scroll exactly in the same order as the tabs are arranged.
Thanks. I think you're right.
That's a long-standing mystery in all these synths cleared up. I'm glad I asked.
Man that is confusing as heck. 🤣
I did, and it did not help. This is odd. This is the second app that behaves strangely - and it’s related to MIDI again. The other one is Prism - I cannot get it to work with my Launchpad MINI MK3 (it used to work in the past). Nobody (including Tyler) can reproduce this problem. Maybe time for a factory reset….
+100
You said it happens with nothing connected? Have you checked to be sure no Bluetooth midi is connected as well? How about network midi - any possibility of that sneaking in?
An easy way to test is to disconnect everything and go to airplane mode.
