Pipa has a very distinct vocal sound. Has anyone here completed a piece with Pipa that they deem as good? Brave enough to share?
I’ve been a fan of Klevgrand from day one on desktop and happily picked up most things again on iOS and I think they overachieve with their percussion instruments.
That said I feel they lost the plot with Pipa and then Tomofon.
I know they put a lot of work into the Tomofon/Pipa engine and on paper it’s an inspired idea but geeez they just don’t sound good at all to me.
Maybe in 20 years they’ll be celebrated as visionary cult apps?
Check out the show Squid Game. It’s used quite frequently!
Yep, I'm seeing this too as of 15:23 MDT. I'm sure it's a temporary glitch.
I use it all the time. It's best if you spend some time and adjust all the settings to your personal liking. And I mean ALL the settings.
Mr Lofi by Kai Aras is a confirmed Intro price it will go up to $9.99 once this sale ends.

How do you know it's Pipa?
I don't know about Tomofon, but Pipa has been very useful for me. If you really fine tune the settings it works best. I did not find the native patches very useful.

I just bought Pipa in the sale and I think it sounds great. I’m not sure what anyone is expecting other than a synthesized voice sound. To me it has this 80s Philip Glass/Koyaanisqatsi vibe which is obviously not useful in a ton of contexts, but it’s unique and pretty cool.
Do we know why Klevgrand’s not showing any apps for Americas?
Pipa is pretty versatile, it’s my absolute favorite vocal synth. The presets are solid.
Jussi however…is very difficult working into anything other than a chanting/howling track.
Let’s hear something then 👂
I don't post music here anymore, but someone else might. I'm just here for the discussions.
It is gone from the Australian store also.
Must be a glitch. They will fix it, probably within 24 hours.
Okay, cool. Thx for Checking man.
@Gavinski has showcased several of the Klevgrand Perc apps- I feel like he really shows off some dope stuff. There’s also the official Klevgrand demo with this lady.
For 3 bucks, this puts it on the epic LEVEL of Ringotron

Also, the vocal over top is literally saying “pipa pipa”
I know it’s cheap, but feels like this could have been an update to LevLr, which isn’t very old. Seems like basically the same app with more parameters exposed, and makes LevLr obsolete.
Yep, still missing in UK App Store too…
They’re back again now!
Confirms what I thought, thanks

Glad to see Klevgrand back
Bleass Tides and Modley are both on sale and seem very similar ideas (but Modley much cheaper). Can anyone comment on the differences the differences between them?
