A few hints for getting started with Loopy Pro.
While there is a learning curve if you want to get deep and do "fancy stuff", you don't have to go deep. People have different learning styles and needs. So, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to learning Loopy Pro. BUT, I can say from experience that there are a few things that can be helpful to everyone.
Take the time to go through the entire built-in tour. You may even want to come back to it after you have been using it for a little while as there are some things that are meaningful after you have been using the app for awhile that aren't immediately obvious.
Visit each of the projects in the Tutorial folder in Sample Projects. The projects take only a few minutes each and will expose you to the core principles. There is a link to the Sample Projects in the Help panel. There is a Wiki page that provides additional helpful details about the sample projects.
Check out the Sample Projects. There are some nice starter projects there to get you going.
Browse the projects available on patchstorage.
Browse the Loopy Pro manual and the wiki. Even if you don't read every word of the manual, it will give you an overview and sense of where to find information when you need it.
TUTORIALS AND PERFORMANCES: There are a number of tutorial series that are pretty deep. Take a look at some of the series and find one that suits you. Some people love one series and not others. Check them out here.

My top two apps I never spent too much time learning but want to learn...
Loopy Pro (with its new MIDI notes function, of course, and a deeper dive into the features already there since before MIDI)
Drambo (for usage as a complex modular synth environment)

Yeah, I think Loopy Pro should be the one.
Too many to mention but loopy pro sounds like a good choice for a start...Logic Pro would be good for me as I payed yearly to save money!! and haven't even started using it yet but I'm guessing a lot don't have it. Drambo another month will be good. All the hosts really.

Drambo or mirack would be a great choice. Or anything else that can come remotely close in terms of complexity, I guess. Plenty of choices there, though not many would get very close.
Loopy sounds bout right. Maybe one of the more overwhelming granular ones like Wavecloud

Some people get stuck on something and drive themselves crazy trying to figure it out on their own -- more often than not, it is something that we can clear up pretty quickly and help you get back on track before getting permanently frustrated.
Your questions help us figure out what examples we need and where we need to improve our support materials.
Hi, is there any kind of normalise option? Sometimes I record loops that I like, but they are too quite. Thanks%.
There aren't currently destructive editing operations. You can raise the loops volume and optionally resample to another loop if you want to permanently change the amplitude.

I've gotten pretty deep into LP2 already, and I was thinking about doing a tutorial or two about it. Does anyone feel like there's something existing tutorials haven't covered enough? Or a kind of workflow/template setup that you are interested in but haven't seen?

I’m watching as many other people’s workflow videos as possible. I’ll eventually come up with what makes sense for me, but seeing what others are doing is very helpful.
FWIW, I’m mostly interested in using LP is a live performance context, guitar, bass, keys, drums (software based), building the song on the fly. I’m also interested in using pre-recorded tracks to add in.

I've been doing more live stuff in Loopy (which is where it truly shines). Creating templates aimed at performance rather than recording is something I could put more energy into.
Right, just opened loopy pro for the first time in months (usually find it too complicated and go back to AUM).
There are a couple of loops I somehow previously recorded.
Press play button, they don't seem to be making any sound, press undo, one disappears still no sound but it is going round.
Press unmute on the microphone channel....eeek....screeching feedback sound, mute it again.
Press pause, press play...touch remaining loop...its going round, it lights up...plink plonk piano...it's making sound!!!
and so it begins :-)
Post a video of what is happening.
Also, do take the time to go through the tour, tutorial projects and sample projects.
Turn monitoring off on your mic channel if not using headphones.
Where is a good place to look for templates? Patchstorage?

Edit: upon quick rewatch, just saw the unmentioned BA-1 FX-Strip hiding at the start
To this point, I haven't had one specific effect I use on practically everything (outside of eqs and the usual rogues gallery of staple necessities)
But that FX-Strip... that god damn FX-Strip... ::angrily swoons::
I'd love to see a one-to-one comparison with AUM.
A tutorial where someone first sets up a session in AUM adding MIDI generators, instruments, effects, MIDI and audio routings etc. and then shows you how to set up exactly the same session in LP...

All good brother... And yes, that damn FX strip indeed. Everything turned up 5% just adds some nice sparkle and colour. Great saturator.

I've been considering doing a tutorial like that, not the AUM part exactly but just going through Loopy as a DAW-less setup and how widgets can make things easier. Working on it.
