That was a typo - looks like the annual sub will be more like 20 bucks if you buy in the first week, after that it'll be 40 bucks. See the main thread on the app for details

It looks like Quartet 2 is free! The IAPs are the same as the other Quartet apps, just for upgrading the songs for export.

    Regarding Quartet 2:
I bought a token and exported a song from Quartet 2. The online user manual says: “If you prefer to work with other DAWs (Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Studio One, Reaper, etc), then the separated parts (WAV files) are in the ‘Media’ folder in the download you’ll receive from the in-app purchase.” But this is not what I just experienced. I downloaded the zip file to my ipad and unzipped it. I then ended up with a zero kB GarageBand file. I don’t have or want GarageBand. I just want access to to the Media folder mentioned above, so I can get the wav files, but there is no media folder, there is no folder at all and no way to open this. What to do, does anyone know? I’m guessing > @Poppadocrock said:

Thanks for the heads up on Quartet 2!

    Also

Thanks for heads up on Pop Drummer too!
I got extremely excited when I saw that it was free and didn’t have any IAP‘s mentioned in the App Store. Then I was excited to see it was only at €1.99 for a year. Come to find out that that’s an error… ahhh! lol. Damn. It looks and sounds great though.

That Quartet 2 thing was an abandoned draft sent accidentally! I really hate the forum draft feature lol. About Quartet 2, yeah, currently on iOS you actually need to have GarageBand to access exported single stems (not exported songs though, they are exported directly as m4a files. The current system is a bit of a pain in the ass for non GarageBand users. Apparently on Mac you can extract the files from the GarageBand file without having GarageBand on your device, the devs wrongly assumed that this was also the case on iOS. I've told the devs that this is really far from ideal, that most serious iOS music heads are not GarageBand users, and they're going to look into it and hopefully find a better way to set this up.

  • I feel like this pop drummer drama was some sort of elaborate mkultra mind funk and we are all now Manchurian candidates in some sort of way. The ups and downs this release has stirred in us all feels like heroin withdrawl, a spouse cheating, or being layed off by a consultant after 20+ years of service.

Just kidding. What a cluster funk tho.

  • I’m really curious and would love to read some sorta analytics or data comparing the income of apps with subscription models vs apps without. In my mind (and it seems shared within this forum) subscriptions can’t possibly be better for the devs as so many of us refuse to participate, but maybe this forum is just one drop in the bucket and the rest of users absolutely love or prefer subscriptions. Again, I find that hard to believe, but would love some numbers to ground these takes a bit. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Doesn't look like a real sale according to the price tracker on appagg. That shows it jumping price first:

ANDROID USERS - G-Stomper Producer is $14 off today making it FREE.

Well I felt for it! And happy I did - what a great effect! To be fair I think the “sale” should be understood as the normal price rising to $10, so this being the last change to get it at the old price.

I love Combustor! My go-to effect. Wonderful sonic possibilities, and a perfect app to use with MIDI controllers and LFOs. Sometimes I’ll latch a few notes on a synth in AUM, run it through Combustor with maybe a little reverb, and spend the next hour tweaking the various knobs and playing them off each other to create a living, breathing drone.

My one suggestion, @catbox, is that you put a limiter after it and be mindful of how the controls relate to each other because it can quickly get very out of hand.

  • They ve got me. I bought it.
But I really like it so its alright.

yes - I learned my lesson with ApeFilter! :scream: Thanks for the warning!

(And yes - Combuster seems like one of these fx that sounds good on anything. Have played around with it on both synths and beats already.)

Did anyone else see Drambo on sale? It wasn’t announced anywhere and wasn’t reflected in App Raven, but I got it at half price. IAPs are discounted too. Maybe a regional thing?

Confirmed by giku over at Beepstreet.com: "Yes, it’s a local sale in some countries where Drambo is practically dead ( and I couldn't find anyone who can spread a word )."

Awesome! Just checked, and it's discounted here in Vietnam: https://apps.apple.com/vn/app/drambo/id1469365718

I wish the IAPs were discounted as well.

Me too. I bought Drambo years ago at full price, however I waited for a sale of IAPs to buy all of them. IAPs have never been on sale in my region and a week ago all 3 IAPs went up in price by 33% :| Anyway, I have all the apps from Beepstreet, great products.

Oh dope! Definitely checking that out. Thanks for the android heads up!

Combuster is a dope app, feel like it was 2.99 forever so going to 9.99 seems absolutely bonkers. All of beepstreets offerings are top notch tho- one of my favorite resonators

I found this scales/mode app on AppRaven today- so, it's new to me and free:

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mode-circle/id6444849284

  • Noticed a buncha devs upping their pricing lately. It’s usually immediately followed by a sale like this to give people a chance to get the original price, which I take as an act of good faith. Is it the best sitch for us consumers? Course not, but the economy is doin what it do these days and I understand errybody gotta eat. Price increases are inevitable imo

Yea I did mention it. It is on sale at $4.99, but only because it appears to be going up in price to $9.99 after the sale. It was usually $4.99.

  • Yup that’s a decent free app @egobeats
