YAY!
i think I am just talking about the default behaviour of the app for me. It happens all the time globaly.
I'm adding a thematic poster
I'm thinking, maybe it would be nice to have a comic book with stories of the AudioKit characters from time to time?
Ahh that’s cool!
It would be nice to have everything in one synth, with some added modulation/filter options.
I don't want to mess up this thread any further, so I'll just post last picture. I hope I didn't overdo with the comics, no offense, it's all just for fun
Cheers!
This is a really great sounding synth, thanks for making it! I hadn’t heard of J6 before either, and it also sounds great.
This is really stellar! And it’s even in accurate order of release date, wow. Great attention to detail 👏
Thanks @AnalogMatthew,
Thanks again for the Great Apps
and you are the Wizard who leads the Fellowship of the Synth
Great video by @TheAudioDabbler, he does a good job of explaining how the panel switching / navigation works and some other tips and tricks 👏
Why is Jordan Rudess leading the procession? 😉
I was flipping through random presets and came across one that very much reminded me of something Pretty Lights would use, but I skipped past it before favoriting. Anyone have any idea which it might be? Or even better, how to replicate it?
Was literally hanging with the Pretty Lights tour and synth engineer in Denver while making the Viral Synth video.
Back in my DJ days, I opened for Pretty Lights in Boulder for about 6000 people. They haven’t played a show that small since. And, I haven’t played a show that big since 😂
Kind of interesting, one of their drummers recently moved to Indy. And, started a facility to help inner city youth learn beatmaking about a mile from me.
Enough war stories, what sound in that song are you trying to create?
💀🤣 🧙♂️
Jordan is a heck of a nice guy and true musical genius. It was such an honor to work with him on Jam with Jordan
Oh very cool! I saw Pretty Lights back in college. I had a couple magic brownies beforehand, so it’s a blur of a show. There were hella pretty lights in the light show.
I suppose to start I like both the bass in the intro, along with the kind of throaty mid range growly sound from 22 seconds until the verse starts (47 sec).
Corrected
Hey Matt,
Just got Nerd Synth and thought I would give it a try. The same thing happens here on all patches here as well. The visual indicator snaps back to place but the actual values do not. I am not using a daw. This just seems to be the default behaviour of the two apps. Does it not do the same thing for you?
Is this perhaps only happening in standalone?
Happens in my previous video with NS2 as well
Love this synth.. the fact you can pump recordings straight into Koala is killer
I get a lot of app resets (crashes?) when I change presets. Loopy Pros CPU usage spikes when this happens. I think I've read about something similar earlier in this thread, but I'd just like to validate if this is a bug or user mistake. Thanks!
I just checked it out and it seems like the parameter snaps back correctly but not the x. (I.e. resonance resets but not cutoff)
Ahh, gotcha, so the Y value snaps back but not the X value.
@AnalogMatthew
It tends to happen if notes are playing when you change patches.
The first few seconds explaining the navigation technique is highly recommended.
Another feature that is so simple it is easily missed. Thanks 👍
Got it, thanks @wim 😎
haha, I've heard of those "brownies" 😅
I had an idea what the sounds were, but I double checked for you. The intro bass is a simple 808 sub. It was before everyone completely distorted their 808s. The other synth is most likely also a sample. But, you can get close with any synth and some bandpass and distortion post processing...
ICYMI, Big update!
Many of you will be thrilled to know that yesterday, I spent six hours of my life adding an option to remove the Ninja from the app.
It’s always the "quick little change"that turns into a full-day journey of debugging, refactoring, and questioning your life choices.
"It's an easy fix" 😂
Complete with optional new icon. Will be in next update, along with an option for the bottom panels to not change
Thanks for being such a receptive, easy going, COOL dev! 🤙
