Also looks like existing Scaler 2 owners can get a discount on Scaler 3. I imagine that would be for both desktop and iOS?
Every piece of music software becomes a DAW given enough time. Like how crabs keep independently evolving.
I think Darwin studied the evolution of IOS apps on the Galapagos … I may be wrong , he may have struggled with the reception at the time 🦎
Scaler 2 wasn't a game changer. I'm sure it's safe to skip scaler 3
Does this guy know how to rock or what ?
Scaler rules
Ummmm. Nope!.. I'm Beta testing the Windows version of Scaler 3... If it ports the same as windows, & think your gonna be pleasantly surprised?.. More editing option is one, but I cannot say anymore?.. As things can change.. & loose lips, sink ships!..
The question is, will Scaler 3 AUv3 sync properly when used with other sample-rates than 44.1k on the iPad?!
I was going to ask that question too. It would certainly determine if I would buy it or not as it hasn’t been fixed in version 2.
The Scaler devs are working on the desktop version first, before turning their attention to mobile. Might be a while until we see an iOS/iPadOS beta…
How’s it going @studs1966 ? Was just thinking the other day how we hadn’t seen you around for a while and wondering when you will post your next release.
Hi mate.. Weeeeelllllll.. There are 5 tracks being released a a Label in Brooklyn, starting around March....ish... Plus doing collabs with other producers in the line works.. Plus doing some DJing stuff for Radio, what I mean they ask for a ''Guest Mix'', Now & again?. Maybe release a couple this year on my Label?.. & as you know I beta test a few plugins for a couple of Software companies, the same as you guys do here?.. But i always ask the software companies to try & make one for iOS, like I did with Scaler devs when Scaler first came out?.. These guys are sooo good & passionate with what they do?.. But have i have slowed down a tad due to day work, & in a few months it will be almost impossible as I think here in Cyprus, August will come early?.. The heat will be too much, so I given it out now before it madness starts?.. Music doesn't pay the bills unfortunately?..
I won’t tangent the thread anymore but glad to hear you’re still as productive as ever. You were always one of the few with label releases so a bit of a forum flag-bearer!

Scaler 3 for Mac/PC just dropped today. It's still on discount for existing Scaler 2 users.
How do we upgrade? Not sure where to see the upgrade path from 2 to 3!
This thread in their forum explains it; it depends on the store you purchased it from:
https://forum.scalermusic.com/t/owner-of-scaler-2-will-have-special-price-for-upgrade-to-scaler-3/19276/6
Thx!
I should be able to get this for a £29 upgrade fee, so assuming I like the look of the videos/reviews, I'll probably do that and report back!
Scaler 2 was a useful tool that had a lot of limitations and things that made it frustrating to use, but this looks like a total game-changer in terms of song composition. Creating multiple parts with a different instrument on each part, being able to assign different lengths to each chord, having sketch pads for holding different progression ideas, the ability to add 3rd party effects. It's definitely blurred the boundary between a plug-in and a DAW.
I'm not interested in buying Scaler 3, if they don't fix scaler 2
+1 and I honestly doubt they'll add any further fixes to Scaler 2 once Scaler 3 is out for the iPad...
This is nice… hopefully soon..
New update:
David mentioned in the video that they’re making g progress on the iOS build.
I liked Scaler 2
and I tried Scaler 3...
so so bloated and unusable for me;(
v2 was so so good up to a point...
Was trying out the new midi out feature to AUM from the desktop version latest update works great. Cant wait for the iOS version. It is a DAW in itself now.
I’m happy they’re adding more usability features.
anyone knows if it's the final sale of BF of Scaler3 or upgrade to scaler 3, or I have to wait more?
Just got an email from Scaler. There's a new Youtube Video where they preview the iPad version of Scaler 3:
iPad preview is the final segment of the video
Aside from that, Scaler 3 for desktop is apparently on sale right now, like 20% off
