Hmmm, I'm glad I asked and you mentioned it. I need to think whether I want to jump into any non-AUv3 apps yet, I've avoided it completely so far to keep things nicely integrated within Loopy Pro. Even as I've picked up Drambo and a few other things this time around, my intention for the moment is still to drive things from Loopy for now.

As it is, I have my controller routed to a MOTU MIDI Timepiece so that when channel 1 is selected, it goes to a Social Entropy Engine (where channel is assigned and selected per track), and when controller channel 2+ is selected, it gets routed to a MIDI Merger along with the Engine out, to select external gear directly from the controller for noodling while being simultaneously driven from the Engine.
However, I'd like tempo driven from the Engine with it's nice knob, so I likely need to run another out from the MIDI Merge that includes Engine time into the Babyface for external clock into the iPad.
Now, I still need to add the Access Virus B Rack into the mix with everything else and be conscientious of available MIDI channels.
So.
While I still need to connect and assign the M-Vave SMC-Mixer for Loopy or other MIDI-CC control, I also need to figure out if I can use a single other channel from the controller into the iPad and/or Loopy and route it like I do with the Engine (Helium does do this currently from within Loopy, but plan to replace it) and still balance everything I want connected externally.
As I've picked up Patterning 3, Sugar Bytes Drum Computer, and a few other things, I've tried to keep everything AUv3 in part to ensure I can simplify common host/plugin compatability while figuring out what can reasonably go well where with everything else, but also to minimize the need to add AUM into the mix for MIDI/audio inter-app routing, while additionally trying to avoid having multiple background windows open so that I can view everything I'm working with from inside a single host.
Yes, it's possible even the geekiest among us here may consider everything I'm doing (or trying to do) grounds for being declared clinically insane, though I have no doubt several others have setups at least as complex as this for doing what they want.
On another note, I spent today writing my own iPad app tracker in Windows with email notifications in Python (uv) using Sqlite3 from scratch so I can finally have something to automatically update me since AppRaven and other trackers won't do it. While I still have to actually add in the email notifications component, luckily I've already solved that problem for other customers and have the code, even if Google has made that more challenging with their application id component and account restriction policies.
Just want to write music, everything almost in place, sigh.
