@jakoB_haQ has posted an extremely worthwhile video that goes through the whole app in a fairly short time.

My impression after playing with it for a few minutes is that it's freakin' dope, and a steal at $8. Something I'm curious to try is starting a project with it in LP4i and transitioning it to desktop. If presets survive the transition I will be very happy.

Just had a 10 minute spin with it, and it's a lot of fun. It's geared entirely to on-the-fly jamming.
They've combined a stripped down version of their drum machine, Noir, Phase 8, and Trouble, allowing you the ability to change the parameters a little bit. The sequencing is auto generated with a little dial, so turning it will complicate the sequence, and releasing will lock that sequence into place, sort of like those Turing Machines that Eurorack has. You've got a mixer with a channel of each sound, with solo/mute options. A low cut filter that stips the end out, ala filter cuts you're accustomed to with Dj sets. The drum machine has a kick fill, roll, and kill kick buttons, and even a Rumble fx so you can get those heavy techno kicks. Again, this is a jam box, and their descriptions of it are spot on. Quick, and easy to get a jam going, and is smartly thought out for that sole purpose. There is a quick save, and a memory bank for quick recalls, but you're not going to do any several hour layout sessions in Cubasis with this. It is entirely performance oriented. I dig it.

Thanks for that thorough description, really helps lay it and it's differences out in a clear light.

A small thing perhaps, but I really appreciate the description says basically, "Not really meant for iPhone, but it'll run." THANK YOU. imo what ALL devs should be doing. (informing + giving the option)

$7.99 is a great price for all this app. It says midi out in description. So I’m guessing you can use the sequencers to trigger other apps if you wanted correct? Has anyone tried that yet?

Yes, it works very nicely. I use a channel filter in drambo to isolate each synth‘s Turing machine sequence (channels 2—4) to play external synths.
The drums also send notes but i haven‘t looked closer at those…presumably each drum voice is a different pitch on Channel 1

Yes I believe the manual says that the drums trigger based on GM mapping on channel 1

Awesome, great to know. Has anyone heard if this is an intro price or the regular price?

I don’t want to speak for Bram but unless he’s changed his whole pricing bit, I imagine this is the price.

He only does sales during November, so even apps being launched are launched at the price he feels is fair. (Honestly more than fair)

Agreed following his usual routine this would be the price, I just thought it sounded a bit low based off everything packed inside, so I thought maybe….
