Music Apps with IAP Sales

Miscellaneous Free IAPs

Seems like Christian Hengst Daniels has added additional IAPs to Tonaly now that include Weekly, Annual, and Lifetime options. I didn't see these before.
I've wanted Tonaly for awhile, it's got this note app that Leo uses in a lot of his videos
I think that’s Tonality not Tonaly!
I emailed the creator and although the App Store says there is still subscriptions, he assured me the app is now free and the only extras are IAPs. Exciting news! No more subscriptions.
Actually just checked on App Store and subscriptions are no longer listed.

Yeah, I remember the icon looking like a butthole and the other one didn't look right. Thanks brother.
It is Tonality, with the notes, AU midi chord pads, AU midi chords & Scale detector, etc.. it’s an extremely useful midi app for playing chord pads in various ways. It has 4 Midi AU’s inside and is a massive resource of music theory knowledge including chords, scales, notes, etc..
TONALY is cool little chord progression, song writing tool, not Au, but exports midi, generates progressions, and is cool for building up songs with multiple parts of different chord progressions.
Oh so those pro modules are useable? I didn’t even tap on one since I thought it was part of the extra IAP or subscription…
Christian Thompson makes an app called AU Session Notes which is an AU app solely for keeping notes inside each project. AUM has this feature built in, but any DAW’s or hosts that do not, could probably benefit from Session Notes.
I don’t remember Tonality having notes in AU, maybe slide over? Are you sure it’s an AU for notes? Cause he might be using Tonality in slide over, or Session Notes as an AU. Tonality has a lot of stuff inside, and can do notes in slide over mode, but I didn’t think the notes were a separate Audio Unit, but maybe I’m mistaken… it’s an app full of features, so maybe I missed it.

This lil obscene fella is what I was wanting
Yup that’s Tonality! It’s easy to get the two mixed up due to the names. Great app, so much packed inside, including 4-5 separate Au’s, and a wealth of music knowledge. It’s well worth the regular price, a steal if on sale.
lol. Let’s hope you get your Christmas wish… lol.
New Release - Rob Jackson
SimpLoop is $2.99 a fairly simple audio looper
I think @egobeats is referring to the Grand Staff app within the Tonality suite. You add it as a MIDI effect and it will display the notes that are being played by the MIDI instrument. Really helps you see what’s going on. As @egobeats mentioned, Leo uses it all the time. I picked it up after watching one of his videos on Chord Generator.
A bit off topic but this sales thread just resulted in something funny.
So my wife Dana and I were discussing the various Ryo Togawa synths , as she is just now getting into the work of iOS synths (she’s just now getting back into music creation after some years ) and we were talking about this thread.. She noticed that all the RT synths are on sale and asked me what the differences were in the ones I don’t have already . So I’m playing the few videos on them , mostly 30 second jobs . It’s random , so not in any order. Every single time a clip of VAPolyTS would come up , our son would look up from his toys and say I like that one. No reaction to any of the others . Just specifically that one synth’s sound caught his attention (Dana is telling me to add it certainly wasn’t the UI) to the point where he has been bugging me for the past few hours if I bought it yet . I tried to fool him with VAPolyMK2 but he could tell. So if he cleans up and puts up his toys I’m going to be buying my son his first iOS synth.
Did I mention Austin turns 4 in Feb?
