    Drum Surgeon: $9.99 -> $4.99

Offers start today (Fri 19th) and end on Mon 22nd December.

    What stellar timing!

Got my first iphone up and running this week (coming from a lifetime of Android) and was hoping to incorporate it into my ipad production workflow

Surface builder is my favorite DIY control setup. Really intuitive and flexible. It’s the 4pockets app I get along with best.

Anyone own Mayrix Vocoder? Is it worth a pickup?

If I’m correct it’s used by Kraftwerk during their 2008 live tour. When you select the ‘Roboter’ preset and play it on a lower octave, you’ll get instant Kraftwerk vibes.

Audiokit apps are on sale also with their infantile marketing that make people stupid !

Considering the amount of free or low cost apps from Matthew and AudioKit, that attack on them seems wholly unwarranted.

Not to mention their use of funds, as I understand it, to actively help children in need.

If you already have the expansion bundle, the new pack that came out is only $9 so I guess if you bundle you wouldn’t be far from that price. I was incredibly surprised at how much I like some of the odd ball kits that it includes. Fantastic expansion pack.

    Wow! Stellar price!

Tons of great kits to be found in there. Motown is my go to starter. Love the vibe. I think I liked (used, experimented with, or got lost in playing while auditioning) about 70% of the included presets. Each preset is a different kit. All searches claim over 200 kits. They not lying. Good experimental and elctronic kits to be found too

Jazz expansion is just terts if you want more ‘real’ kits

And the odd sound kits (Forrest, story tellers, others) are great for layered backing rhythms - if you like slammer/ting/etc (Klevgrand’s sound maker apps), these won’t disappoint, and fit right in the same toolbox with those established apps

Haven’t done much with the metal drums, and haven't had a moment to install the newest London Sessions yet, but I'm HELLA excited to test out more real kits for finger drumming

I was tempted by drumdrops BF 50% sale, but avoided thanks to OneShot lol

What can i say. I like thing's that tink, tank, tsst, shhhh, buh, chh, and clang

I really love how well thought out kit layouts are. It’s set up where you can play them with a MIDI keyboard in a similar way a Drumkit would physically be. So hi hats are on black keys, snare + rimshots are grouped together, two kicks on adjacent white keys. That kind of thing.

Ting is a great compliment to Oneshot w/Octachron- share the same path in AUM.
Great lil upgrade without paying for drum expansions. $3.99 versus what $99.99?

    Truth

Klevgrands percussion collection all play very well together

    Layering feels like cheating

Is it Borsta with the pattern keys? I accidentally had OneShot Borsta and Slammer on all at once (Loopy Pro, launchpad for finger drumming, widgets for en/dis-abling AUs) and subsequently lost 1.5hr in continual accidental rhythm discovery

Haven't put it into anything yet, but want to make samples to Doom Guy style rip and tear into funky little biscuits

  • edited December 2025

Yeah, I have found that Borsta has been a nice surprise in various projects and being ran from various midi generators.

I did the same recently with the Kiev drum apps, spent about an hour just focusing on accidental rhythm's.
