Do not miss this.. it’s completely free, audio unit, drum sampler, sequencer, that also works in standalone, can send midi out as a sequencer, can export midi for use in daw, can load your own samples, etc…. Very cool and very powerful for a free app. Just to clarify There are two versions in the App Store. This is the new one. In the words of the developer “we’ve migrated beat scholar to this new app, and it’s now updated and fully free”
Insta crash in standalone, in AUM, & Loopy for me. But am still on iOS 15.2.. hopefully it runs better on more current versions.

Yes new version instantly crashes for me stand-alone and AUM. IOS 17.
Regarding Beat Scholar, notified developer. Please post your experiences in that original beat scholar thread. We might need to update to ios18.
Thank you for letting me know about these crashes - it's possible our support for older versions of the OS isn't great yet. We'll see if we can fix those!
The original version would be updated soon (only once) and then be removed from the App Store in favor of this new version that has quite a lot of new features and bug fixes.
It's very likely this new version would also remain free.

It's not a lite version, it's the full version and it also has quite a few updates from the desktop version that haven't made it to iOS yet.
The desktop version would remain paid, and we decided to make the iOS version free to simplify things a bit.
