Great ambient track @rottencat I'm sure that my good friend @jwmmakerofmusic will also like it :)

  • Thanks @sevenape! What’s not to love?

  • Thank you so very much @Pierre118!

  • That’s a very gratifying comment!

    Thank you very kindly @offbrands!

  • Loved the constant wave motion.. like you’re at a beach watching the waves coming towards you.. lovely..

  • Thanks for the tag @Pierre118 . You weren't wrong. Yvonne, I'm currently listening to this as I type. I love this piece. So far, it seems to blend a more modern take on Ambient with hints of "Music for Airports" with the "vocal ahh" sample(s) that is/are interspersed throughout.

    Thanks as always, friend.

Any comparison to Music for Airports is high praise, indeed!🙂

  • Just a lovely piece of music 🙏

  • Thank you so very much @GeoTony!

  • I must have missed this first time around. You might love Koala, but it think it loves you too.

@rottencat beautiful piece! I'd love to eventually see you play Koala, how you setup things and such. I'd understand if you prefer not to 🤓

I really don’t have a set method. It’s mostly intuitive. I’ll usually start with a sample that has caught my ear and try to find a few more that fit the mood. Sometimes I use the sequencer, sometimes I don’t. There’s usually either Eventide Blackhole and/or Velvet Machine in the mix.

Thank you for your kind words and for your interest.🙂

Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it. Do you chop the sample up? Do you choose longer samples and then play the effects?

I usually use one-shot samples. Occasionally I will use a longer sample and chop bits out of it.

I’m not sure I know what you mean by “play the effects.”

By "play the effects" I believe @oscillotus means manipulating Koala's effects section while recording the output.

    Ah, I see.

    No, I don’t do that.

  • Exactly what @jwmmakerofmusic said :)

Thank you @rottencat for the explanations, I appreciate it 🙏🏻
