These bundle deals seem to be getting worse in Canada. In some instances the single outstanding app in a bundle is more expensive to buy in a bundle deal than to buy on it’s own!! What the heck !!

Hi. The explanation is always the same: you paid less than the current price for some of the bundle apps. The AppStore only subtracts what you actually paid to update the bundle price.

Edit: Exchange rate variations will also affect the prices you see.

  • Groove Rider 2 and related apps back on sale!

Also bundle prices are separate from app prices, so if the bundle is not discounted but the app is on sale, bundle will still reflect regular price. It gets weird though, I had a recent bundle that was only $5 to complete then for some reason it went to $14, after the 2 apps I didn’t have went on sale.

I kind of cemented my end all be all local file player recently after testing this app out.

Not bad but super simple to a fault. Plus idk I hope it stays free but a bunch of slick apps out free at once.. i imagine an IAP is coming or ads. Hope i’m wrong.

Biggest issue is you can’t access main folder at all from files.app, but on the opposite side with way more (arguably too many) features there is foobar2000 where you can get to files.app.

It’s free, as well, and foobar has been around for years.

You can also use AUV3’s in it. I tested out a dozen or so and they all worked. No crashing. Super smooth. Better than Waveboxs or Ferrites implementation, more like Lumafusion if i recall theres correctly.

    Plus no trackers!

Second favorite local music player is Nota but has a couple trackers.

Third is LMP and not as slick to get local files to as Nota or foobar. Costs $2.99 but goes on sale often.

GrantedI havent tried Marvis or Sona (i forget the name) and they are highly rated but cost more.

Also the ubiquitous VLC Player is always worth a mention.

Long story short. Plenty of local files options. All have pros and cons. foobar2000 is goat imo

I've tried a LOT myself and I concur, Foobar2000 is the GOAT. Only others I would use are Doppi and Music Folder.

  • Thanks for the breakdown @offbrands and the recommendation @Ailerom

  • VLC is OK, but it won’t keep playing when I lock the phone. I’ve been using the Documents app for this purpose for years and is still the most reliable app I have for playing files.

Can anyone recall that video edit app that goes free regularly?

[edit] All good. Found on page 19.

  • @Poppadocrock do you have an AppRaven user? I’m looking for collections worth following.

I do but don’t really have any of my own specific collections. My username is GoodEnough.

There are some good ones I’ll have to dig them up though. Jakob haq has some, gbrl too, necrobyte, claudinec.

If you search the collections by specific key words like AUv3, midi, synthesizer, etc, you should find some you like.

There is also a few that are good with free apps, one is Freee! & Rare Deals, or Paid Apps I got Free.
