    Quick question…

    Should I get one shot?

I picked it up recently and love it. As soon as I can afford I’ll pick up the metal expansion. I feed it with Lumbeat apps, mostly Rock Drummer, Pop and Future. Just this last week figured out the multi-out setup. I’m no expert but the sounds are top notch. I think you’ll like it. Put a little Punchlab after it. Aw yeah 👍

    Quick Question #2 ?

June if you already have Tal-U-No-Lx? I love Audiothing, and watched several videos, some even comparing the two apps, but I’m wondering if the synth and the way it sounds are different enough to justify having both?

I think Audiothing’s sounds more like the real thing…the way the chorus behaves when both I and II are enabled is a great example

    Quick question…

Should I get one shot? I want it mostly for the presets, I’ll probably do some kit building, but just want to know about the built in kits for now. It is still at a phenomenal price, $8.99 USD, and I’m strongly considering buying it.

My question is mainly about the factory presets in one shot, how good and versatile are the factory presets in Klevgrand One Shot? Can’t really afford the extra banks. I Want to buy as a quick and easy solution for realistic drums. I’ve watched some vids but would like to know from the members. Should I buy One Shot if I’m mostly just interested in using the Factory Patches?

I think the preset sounds are amazing! I’ve only scratched the surface and have mainly used the acoustic kits, hand drums, percussion etc. I don’t really need drums enough to warrant paying for the extra banks, but I can’t imagine ever getting bored with what comes with the app. It works great in AUM with OCTACHRON but just about any midi instrument will do. Like Fugue Machine.

$9 is an absolute bargain, imo. I think I bought it on BF sale for $13 and I am very glad I did!

Let me give you a warning about the Unholy kit. If you are looking for modern metal kit you will be disappointed. Listen to Ghost recent album that’s the popish metal type of drum you get. Here’s an example of what I did with The Unholy drum vs Bogren digital kit.

TBH it was really long to get the Bogren kit build and requires 2 copies of One Shot.

    Yes it is really good.

if you are planning on building your own kit with your samples there is a bug in saving the kits that is very annoying. They have fixed it in the Beta but we have been waiting for a update.

Funny enough it reminds of Fenriz's most recent kit on Darkthrone's latest albums.

I have yet to find a case where I can use One Shot, but at the current price it is an unbeatable buy. It will certainly give you the realistic drums sound, but you will have to manually play them or find another solution to trigger them since there is no drum sequencer built it.

I have bought a large library of midi beats that I browse with Helium and drop in Cubasis timeline but I could drop in Helium timeline too.

Or a drum sequencer like Octochron or the Lumbeat apps.

The One Shot drum kit. So with Helium you can browse midi drum beat libraries pretty easily? I'm trying to move away from Logic Pro and ditch their Drummer.

  • @Poppadocrock get OneShot if you haven’t already. Great kits. Annnnnnnd… I love loading Drum Drops kits into it. DigiSticks 2 does a great job for flexibility and round robins but OneShot ihop does it easier.

This is a video I did a while back for a friend asking how to add fills. It will give you a idea how I use Helium. Also I have imported my midi library in Helium.

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but, as someone who is loving the sounds of One Shot but misses how quickly you can arrange a song on Lumbeat apps, is there a way I can control OS via, say, Funk Drummer, so that the drum parts I wrote on FD have the sounds of One Shot? Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m relatively new to MIDI stuff. Thanks!

What DAW do you use and how do you send your beats to One Shot. If you look at my video above, I have my beats in Cubasis time line and I just copy them to my liking.

You could also send the midi from any Lumbeat app to One Shot. I can’t help you for that as I don’t own any Lumbeat app.

In the lumbeat midi notes section make it look like this:

Then in AUM route it to OneShot like this:

At least that’s how I do it (and understood your question)

  • Thanks for all the feedback I bought One Shot!
