Cool songs Jim. I love Glitchy Hypnosis particularly! The bass reminds me of this album I listened a lot to. "Oi Oi Oi" by Boys Noize.

His "Power" album is also very cool.

That is a sick track! I love it, mate. :) I'm so happy to hear these different tracks posted here. Feeds my inspo even moreso.

Glad you liked it. If your feeling it, give the whole album a try! Its a one of a kind in terms of sound design I find. Boys Noize is touring right now as a support act to Trent Reznors Nine Inch Nails. They even have a short act together called Nine Inch Noize if I understand correctly. They also collaborated for the soundtrack of TRON : Ares.

No kidding! I'll be checking them out then once I finish my next piece of music!

  • I’m sure you’re doing more than one a day Jim 🤔
Be careful or you’ll use all the notes up and there won’t be any left for us ☹️

When one runs out of notes...make Noise Music instead. 😉 Hehe. Yeah, making music and nicotine are my addictions. The latter is awful and expensive, but the former feeds the soul and is expensive. 😂

  • (Semi-Synthwave Thing)

My next Jamuary entry is a piece of music sort of like Synthwave but not entirely. Not sure what it is, but I like it. Here's what I used for instruments...

The side-chain trigger is Recife's CHat Chicago. The drums are Bilbao using drums mostly from this Nu Disco pack from Black Octopus @blackoctopustoby . Brilliant drum samples! Highly recommended.

The bass was Pompei, the chime lead is Ebina, the lower pads are Darwin, the strings are Glasgow as is the sax solo, and the white noise riser is Wolfsburg this time around. (I don't always use Brussels for risers, lol.)

    Enjoy.

  • (Ambient)

I finished a song instrumental in Auxy Studio, but for today's Jamuary offering, I used Korg Gadget 3 once again. Chiangmai for the bass, Phoenix for the swelling pads, and Marseille for both the piano and the marimba.

The difference I did this time was I slapped on DAW Cassette to my mastering chain for a bit of that degraded tape saturation and the tape hiss. I really love how this piece turned out, and I hope you do too. It's under 8 minutes long, can be listened to passively or skimmed through. Doesn't have to be actively listened to. Enjoy. ❤️

  • Cool song Jim 😎

Thanks mate. :) Which one are you referring to?

  • All of 'em! But the last message referred to that last ambient piece of yours ;)

    Nice! Thanks mate. Much appreciated!

  • You are kicking these bad boys out! Keep it up! I’m enjoying these very much, all different scenes

Thanks mate. :) Yep, unlike Jamuary 2025, I'm doing more than just Ambient, but Ambient is still my number one fave to pump out for a challenge such as this. :)

  • Today's Jamuary 2026 entry is another Eno-esque piece of Ambient. I used Chiangmai for the sine synth, Madrid for the bass, Lexington for Pad A, and Kiev for Pad B. I added Klevgrand's DAW Cassette on the master chain to get some tape degradation and hiss. Please, enjoy. ❤️

  • I like that Madrid bass with the huge reverb.

BTW, the DAW Cassette could be somewhat replicated inside Gadget with the IFXs (although per track, not on master channel):

Interesting way to go about tape hiss. I'll probably stick to DAW Cassette for now though. :) Glad you dug the Madrid bass. I wanted to try something different from the usual synth bass (whether some fat saw or sine or whathaveyou).

  • Just caught up with the last few. 👍

Today's Jamuary entry. The original plan was to use a solo violin for the melody, but I found this amazing soprano "ah" voice in Glasgow (Module Pro), and suddenly the piece became an Aria, lol. So yes, Glasgow is what I used for that voice, Chicago for the rolling bass, Pompei for the pads, and Kiev for the lower drone.

Edit: Also, I didn't know what the hell genre this is, so I chose "Electronic" for the genre and put "Ambient" and "Soundtrack" in the extra hashtags.

  • Enjoyed that last one Jim, very operatic 👍
    You’re on a roll this year !

Thank you so much, my friend. :) I appreciate it.

    (Experimental EDM)

Sometimes when I see some of the opinions other people have, it melts my mind into mush. 😆 Now, I'm not referring to anywhere specifically nor anyone specifically nor siding with anyone. All opinions are like rear ends - everyone has one, and they all stink.

  • (Soundtrack)

Okay, back to my usual shtick. Today's Jamuary entry is more of a soundtrack than Ambient. Hope you all enjoy. ❤️

  • That Organ puts me in a spiritual mindset sir, this one’s lovely. Moby?

Used to listen to Moby quite a lot back in the day. Perhaps an inspo deep within my subconscious. 😉 Just waiting for my next piece to finish processing on Soundcloud, and then I'll post it here.

  • Well that processed quickly.

    (Ambient)

For this, I used Dublin for the deep bass, Pompei (iPolysix) for the swelling pads, Chiangmai for the sine lead, and Kiev for the drone. In Korg Gadget 3. Mastered in Cubasis 3. Enjoy. ❤️

That was very moving. Sounds like an end credits song, or maybe an album closer. Also, I had the bonus of an “American Beauty” moment while listening, since the plastic bag where I was carrying my lunch got blown away for a few seconds (but fortunately my lunch was already at the microwave by then :D ).
