I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with the free version….. I’m very interested to know what extra are you getting for the £29.99 upgrade?? What features will the purchase unlock? I’m imagining it will have to be something special to add that extra value on to it…. but what could it be?

it says 14 day free trial in the description

Ah right - thanks. What you see is what you get. In that case it does seem comparatively a bit overpriced. I can’t help but think of MolliLooper as a cheaper alternative.

I do like Mollilooper, but Vibe Looper is definitely a big step up, for me anyway, I terms of fun and functionality. It's just a fact that they won't shift many units at this price, is all... At$5 or $10 a pop, they'd sell tons.

I know that’s the thing, I mentioned that above as well - they would sell shedloads at that sort of price but very few at the 30. I wonder if they are reading the forum?

I dunno but I did contact the dev myself suggesting that the current pricing would never fly

Good call - I was thinking of doing the very same thing - did you direct them to the forum here?

No, would they really enjoy that? I don't think so. Maybe after they bring the price down 😅

  • I do like the idea but simply not enough meat on the bone for me. Could use an xy pad with fx and maybe a slice mode.

  • Yeah I tried it, nice feel to it but without more modes of play à la samplr and possibly layers (unless I missed that) it’s probably not going to sell much at that price.

You just need to get Billy Joel to demo it on the Jimmy Fallon show (*) then you can charge whatever you like...

(*) Little history lesson, for those who weren't iPad music makers back in 2014.

Don't ever become a history teacher.

Thanks. I don't come here for career advice, but if I did, the only advice my younger self should take from my older self, is: don't ever become a plugin developer - iOS, in particular. :)

Don’t listen to him - plough on regardless :)

:D OK. I'd pretty much exhausted all other possibilities anyway. Funnily enough, Maths teacher was my "plan A" in my youth.

Back on topic, vaguely... nobody asked for my opinion on the issue of pricing, but from a personal perspective, it's a tough one, and then some. I always respect what other devs decide to do, in terms of setting a sale price. But... there are no right answers as to what the right price should be...

It's an incredibly personal thing, unless you're working for someone else to develop apps, and you're on a regular salary come what may. Been there / done that.

And of course, as an indie developer, it depends to what extent you're relying on, or expecting, a recovery on your time / development effort. That's when it gets really tough.

Or alternatively, you just set a price, which you consider to be fair (which may be the case here), and if it doesn't work out, you make other plans, which may, or may not include a career change

Too late for me, so expect more apps. :D

  • Is it still epestein level pricing?

  • videos in app store look pretty cool. reminds me of me of Samplr. i’m intrigued

No need to be intrigued, just try it haha, 2 weeks free trial. It's a really cool little app for sure

  • It sounds fantastic… from the demos.
