JWM's Music May 2026
So, I'm starting this month with something quite different to what I usually produce. 😂 It's a joke track based off of an N-Sync meme the kids laugh about each year where the singers sound like they sing "It's Gonna Be May" rather than "It's Gonna Be Me". Since the track is so short, I decided to upload it to Dropbox rather than Soundcloud. 🤣
Just a dumb and silly way to start off May. This isn't representative of what I plan to produce for the rest of this month though. With "Inferno" being released later this month, I'll probably be obsessing over TripHop, Downtempo, and Ambient. And my hope is to do it all in FL Studio Mobile.

I'm still into Boards of Canada, but I'm also bored as f--k at the moment and stuck musically. So I produced a bad piece of music on purpose just for the hell of it. Not bad in the sense of mixdown and mastering, but bad musically, period. A piece of midrange cack that's rather annoying to listen to. I don't know, lol. Maybe I'll end up making more EDM stuff this month after all rather than trying to pigeonhole myself into a specific genre. 😂

(Bass House in FL Studio Mobile)
So I used 90s styled House drums in the production of this track rather than those from Black Octopus' "Trident Tech", and I used a riff that sounded like it'd fit in mid 90s Eurodance. Made use of the General User soundfont in FL Studio Mobile as well as the infamous Papelmedia Irena voice (the high opera-styled solo voice). I admit to sometimes using premade oneshot bass samples from various packs of the Black Octopus Leviathan series. This time however, all the bass sounds are 100% mine, mostly using GMSynth in FL Studio Mobile.
Mastered this in Cubasis 3 with BarkFilter, Cubasis' Brickwall, and Youlean's Loudness Meter.

Inspired by orchestral Electro-House tracks by the likes of Deadmau5, here we have "The Monument". This took quite a bit more effort to make than my usual fare, but I'm really chuffed with how the final result turned out! Holy...shit. 🫣 I hope you all enjoy this one. I had fun making this.

Edit - I was inspired by Deadmau5's "Strobe" to be honest. That had a pretty grand opening before the beat kicked in. Deadmau5 is one of my inspos, and I love to model my EDM music after his stuff. Not my behavior though, because he can be quite the brash and blunt fellow, but my music yes. 😂

This really is fire dude. This is really well done and when this music is done well it is amongst my favourite things.
I get the deadmau5 inspiration, but I also hear more contemporary things in it like artbat and what the kids are calling progressive or tech-house nowadays. I haven’t checked in the last 20 minutes if I’ve mislabelled how they are are mislabelling tracks, so I might be as incorrect as a beatport tag here.
Anyway, I digress…oh hang on…yes! I’ve had a sleep deprivation -putting the HD in the adhd -idea. I shall remix this and innevertedly create a new genre called digressive house! 🤣

Never tried Strokes or Stacks before, but FL Studio Mobile and Gadget 3 are definitely my go-to's these days, but FLSM moreso for client work since it has audio tracks and seems to yield punchier, cleaner mixes. Yeah, it doesn't host AUv3s, but so what? I'm earning money from client work using FLSM. 😂
