    Korg IAPs On Sale

It’s been Aeons* since Korg have had anything of interest that I don’t already have, but I heard a clip of iWavestation earlier, and as a Gadget loyalist I’m going to make a donation to their app maintenance & development piggy bank.

    • the patch I heard instantly took me back to watching Aeon Flux (the 90’s cartoon). See what I did there, etc. I’m not looking to recreate that sort of ‘gloss’, but some trawling of this forum’s archives shows it can make some very weird and wonderful stuff too!

Bro.... they seriously need to add auv3 to Odyssey already. It's been a whole ass reich since promised.

I Wavestation auv3 is solid. No reason it can't be done with Odyssey, polylolyjolly whatever.

Happy to see more of this devs app’s on ios, though I’m not sure this one adds anything to the AudioThing version of the same synth. (But looking very much forward to his ios-take on the MakeNoise Strega!)

Same thought, I suppose this is a cheap version of that, for those who don't have the Audiothing version, but I feel this release might struggle, many will have bought the Audiothing one already and will see little/no reason to buy this comparatively stripped down version.

Audiothing’s version happens to be one of my favorites on iOS. It’s also frequently on sale. Unless this one is even more accurate to hardware sounding , I can see no reason why anyone would pick this up unless they didn’t have that one ..and from the AI written App Store blurb, I have a feeling the sound doesn’t beat the other one either..:but at least it’s not another Juno 😂

I wouldn't assume the sound isn't good, this dev is a 100% legit expert. He's the Swarmadie 2 dev, a conservatory teacher, and one of the founders of Aqusmatiq Audio, along with the apeSoft dev and Amazing Noises dev, take a look at his website and you'll see haha.

Good point …I was referring to specifically vs the Audiothing version but with that pedigree it does make more sense . After my post I rewatched your SX1000 video and I did notice a comment where someone complained about the filter , so this one might have an opportunity if it nailed that aspect

Either way, don't talk yourself into getting this haha, you need the cash more than you need the app!

Yeah, I quite enjoy his takes on the Grendel Drone Commander and The Swarmatron. Both are excellent, so definitely an interesting and qualified dev!
