  • If I need to choose only one app, it would definitely be Atom 3. 🥹 I want that MPE editing complete, MIDI automation curves, and most importantly, retrospective recording history.

Long time no see, mate. :) Hope you're well.

And yes, Atom 3 would be awesome!

    Korg Gadget 4

    • better piano roll (something like the one on GR2)
    • import midi into parts
    • copy/paste pads (bilbao, london, recife)
    • a new "load sample" window for vancouver, bilbao, abu dhabi and sidney, with an interface like Files app, but with preview (like in Sample Crate)

    Am I dreaming? :)

Probably 😄 But then, most of us had been sure it would never get new features, before v3 dropped.

I was going to put Gadget 4 in here myself, but I wasn’t sure if it really belongs, in the spirit of the thread. It’s still such a current app. Development seems to keep coming, like a stalactite growing, only slower.

But if we’re on the subject…

    +1 for copy/paste pads.
    - A utility sample editor (just a basic Reason or Caustic-style one). Or even just a fix for clicking at start/end of non-zero-crossed audio clips (fade in/out or… something!)
    - Audio routing/bouncing from midi tracks to the audio processing tracks
    - An effect device! Obvs it should be a Kaoss pad! WTF are you doing Korg?! 😄 you already did half the job with Memphis’ audio routing.
    - An ES-1 Electribe-style Sampler! Imagine the fun! Or an original design, if the devs can lock the marketing execs outside. Just something that can mangle more than a short sample.

Any of this would be transformative for sampling in Gadget.

Also: LFOs! Yeah, you can use Taipei in a roundabout way. One could also toast bread with a candle, if needs-be. A direct, tap-the-parameter implementation would be lovely!

    I’ll get my coat.

+1 for all. And a simple way to collect all the external samples used in a track. If accidentally I rename or move the folder where a sample is located, Korg samplers show an empty slot without any warnings or a message like “sample xxxx not found”.

Such fun and well coded apps

And hopefully integrated with GR-II. :) That would be the bee's knees.

  • Reason Compact 2 would be good, maybe adding Thor, and extra tracks. (But it will never happen.)

Guitarism - best guitar app ever made . Sounded like a guitar and pretty much played like one ( within reason... ).

Gone now but lives in my memory!

I still have it on a couple old devices and it was a sweet app, it sounded great but also had midi out to play other instruments.

    +4 lol.

    Xequence is not available here.

A new Elastic FX would be nice

  • There would be no need for anything else than audio tracks on NS3. B)

Definitely, but GR2 with audio tracks would be an ideal second-place winner for me. :)

In one word - logistics. Lots of "red tape".

That's been discussed a lot here and elsewhere, see this Reddit thread to get you started, very annoying situation all round:

Heya Jimmy! Everything is fine, thanks for asking. 🤗 I'm more on the beach than at home in the studio, haha!

But Atom is toasted, the developer sold his soul to Apple. There is no resurrection after this transaction. 🪦😅

Did Victor Porof go to work for Apple? I know the Samplr dev did, but that's my first time hearing this!

I read an interview with Marcos Alonso (Samplr) recently and he said Marek from Elf Audio (of Koala fame) was there too! Not sure if either are there nowadays.

EDIT: in the interview he didn't completely rule out ever re-developing Samplr, but did give the impression it was not something that interested him at all, he did say he considered it 'finished'.

    A pity, that.

  • My wish is an updated Aurio Pro as it would work so well on M4 iPad if I could just get it to open

  • +1 Samplr
Wish it had like a 6 by 6 grid of samples at the bottom, with column launching ala Live.... and AUv3 compatibility and multi-outs!

with more forms of synthesis, as auv3 and sample based osc...:)

I came into this thread to say Shoom and it's already the very first reply.
