just for my own purposes -- SECTOR doesn't take live audio, right? I still haven't found a slicer besides samplr that will auto chop live input, but there's no MIDI control there.
@dderks thanks! You're correct that SECTOR doesn't take live input. The closest approximation for effects. would be glitch1, Effectrix, or Turnado. You can send midi notes to Effectrix to switch patterns, so there's a bit of control there.

Is anyone else having issues with the other Kymatica F/x apps (push peak)?
They seem to be very difficult and slow to connect and sync up or just mute the sounds? (in F/x slot Audiobus)

Is it fair to say Sector is similar to what you can do with sounds in Egoist?
So similar, so different. Definition of one man's work flow comfort is another piece of dead pudding. I appreciate Sector, but can't get on with it. Egoist makes more sense to me, but I'm not sure exactly why.

Midi works a lot better.The declick option still doesnt do much and when you change the tempo/pitch a lot you hear those clicks between the slices (air 1,ios 8.4)
Similar but i get different results with each, Sector can get really wild, think Aphex Twin or Squarepusher. A lot of the presets show that side to it but i know there are some tricks yo can use like loading a chromatic synth loop and resequencing it.
If you want to remix some loops you've created it's great for that, you can generate loads of variations.

My pleasure. I'm seriously considering writing a book focused just on SECTOR. It truly is a deep app, and the MIDI stuff opens up so many more possibilities.
The only similarity between the two is the fact that they both load a sample and slice. Pretty much everything else about them is different. You can sequence entire compositions in Egoist. Not so in Altruist error, sorry, Sector.

@RustiK I find that the @HoldernessMedia apps complement the AUFX apps nicely, since there's really no overlap. They're relatively light in footprint and I have no issues running them all simultaneously on my mini 3 (= Air1).
