Haha yes indeed @JohnnyGoodyear A whole new market is about to explode!
Do you use a mic Johnny? Ive been listening to the some SOTMC entries with vocals & guessing...Mic or no mic. I haven't got a clue but maybe those with more experience can tell.
There are some pretty strange IRs out there already. I'm curious if it's out of the realm of iOS processing power to create our own.
@bluepunk: Apogee Mic. Very good, very easy, very transportable. Just works etc. Have also used it for recording acoustic guitars nicely etc.

I got it for a lot less than this. But if I didn't travel so much I'm pretty sure I'd just buy a Reliant Robin at this point...
Thanks for the advice & the link, very kind. It looks yummy to me & I like the chunky, small design. That new iRig is similar in shape & size. As for the guitar use..........I wish! I want to make guitar based music but don't play. Have progressed onto Guitarism & am getting some type of rhythm down. Well.......as they used to say, punks only 3 chords so should get it! SOTMC, run to the hills. : )
What style are you planning for this months offerings Sir Johnny?
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 great track man! I like a bit of drum and bass and you nailed the groove - very impressed with the sounds (love that phasery string and dubstepy bass vocal thingy) - good stuff - I will keep my eye on you;)
No idea. August is here and not a child in the house is washed. There is a very large room on the side of the house here in Maine that we intended to make into a place for media/pool tables and so forth, but ran out of money and/or imagination. However, I have noticed that with it's high vaulted ceiling, no flooring beyond basic board, and no furniture whatsoever (beyond an enormous fridge; long story) the acoustics/reverb are lovely. And thus as I have two more weeks here before I go back to Austin this might be the trick I need (its absence once I am no longer present) to at least come up with some half-assed story to tell out loud. As ever, we'll see.

@JohnnyGoodyear Wow your place sounds wonderful & perfect for recording your new hit. The acoustics must be spot on. I can only imagine what the fridge story is (maybe inspiration for a future song). I thought you were in Blighty, but Maine! In my younger years, I was an avid Stephen King reader & fan & always wanted to do his tour of Maine. Enjoy your last couple of weeks there.
Thanks for the kind words BvsMV. I work on an iPad Air 1 which is pretty powerful (espec. compared to the iPad 1 I upgraded from).
This track should be doable with an iPad 3 though. The Korg site claims that you can use approx 8 tracks, 12 with track freezing. My track now uses 10 with the current version but the one I posted here only used 7 and 2 of those were just that scratchy little set of noises near the middle. Using the synths' built-in effects can beef up the sound quite considerably.
