Seems Virsyn has all of their apps on sale, most of them half price. Thinking of grabbing Poseidon myself.

I have already succumbed to MicroTera this afternoon. I suspect Poseidon is also in my future...
Ever since Fugue Machine enabled multiple MIDI outs, I'm now using my synths four at a time. Logically, I now need to quadruple the amount of synth apps I own, right? (Says the keyboard challenged bass player with 20 synth apps.)
Tera vs Microtera?
Despite the name they are completely different.
I would say Tera and its modular approach(actually taking a pause from a Tera patching session). Definitely a lovely synth.
i'm thinking about poseidon. I know you can never say you don't _need _another synth app, but I'm at the point now where I really have to think about the benefit vs burden of having another synth app on my ipad requiring my time.
Poseidon is a beast. Awesome synth for luscious pads and more.
How is that EmoChorus?

For me the best chorus on iOS, deepest in terms of control by far, includes modulation (and movement) that isn't happening in the other units available.

love love love emo chorus! Midi learn / automation using midilfos or modstep is wicked goodly.
What's the verdict on Arpeggist? I keep seeing reports that MIDI out to external hardware isn't working properly but don't know if that's been fixed in an update yet. I'm also loathe to buy any more non-Link apps as clock sync really is poor on iOS.
There really is a shortage of demos on YouTube for much of the Virsyn line. I'm interested in Audio Reverb & Tap Delay as I find the AUFX offerings not to my liking....are the Virsyn equivalents better?
Aaaand..... Does Addictive Synth offer traditional single-cycle waveforms like Waldorf stuff or can you only draw them?
It's also universal, which is always a plus with iOS effects apps. I use an old iPhone as an effects unit for my hardware.
Oooh! Just fired up my iPad to go get poseidon, it's been on my list for ages, and somehow my iPad drained itself from 100% to 0% in about 5 hours, DOH! What the heck did I leave running?
Does Tera Synth offer anything that other synths ( Thor , Animoog , etc ) can do ?
Emo Chorus is cool! I also picked up Tap Delay. That's a damn nice delay. Pleased.
Completely different from Animoog which is a wavetable&vector driven synth with pretty standard, fixed routing
While it has some similarities with Thor a completely different set of oscillators and actually being Tera just 'bigger' than Thor; some more advanced signal path routing options and the amount and tweak-ability of the modulation sources get Tera more on the iVCS3 or CrystalXT. The almost perfect match would be Native Instruments Massive, which has wavetables oscillating at its heart while Tera has 64 static waveforms plus a additive custom wave; they share the approach and the nature of their modular modulation feature set even if they aim to completely different sound targets.

Same here. My first ever soft synth was by Virsyn on the PC many moons ago
Tera is an awesome synth if you don't mind the endless scrolling. If I had the patience I'm pretty sure this synth could make dang near any sound. But I hate the scrolling and I'm not very patient, so I use Poseidon much more.
Yup, Apple once again downloading iOS without my permission (the fact I can't withhold my permission doesn't mean I've given it), pissing away all my free space and draining my battery to 0%. Good thing I wasn't relying on it being functioning at 8am. Apple can smooch my arse.
Thanks both , I already have most of the other virsyn synths and ivcs3 , particularly fond of Poseidon. I'll go and watch some vids and see if Tera tempts me

That scrolling drives me nuts. Wasn't too happy to see it in Grain Science either...
Bought iVoxel. Not sure why, I just did. Seems to be that way with a lot of my music app purchases. Can't seem to resist sales.
It's very nice vocoder and I use it for making harmonies with drums, enjoy it
(+1 x 3) + 1, though in my case Virsyn on iOS sent me to Virsyn on desktop, now I can find Tera and Cube where ever I wander.
I have most of Virsyn's synths already (and really like them - quality stuff!) so I picked up Emo Chorus in the sale.
Already have all of them.
Micro Tera is one most under rated synths ever in my opinion.
