  • thanks JohnnyGoodyear and rhaley. I am specifically looking for string sounds-orchestra, string section, etc. I currently use the strings from the Triton IAP in module which is artificial sounding as one would expect from the Triton (no knock to that patch as it is often the sound I'm going for with pop songs). But I need something realistic for some tunes. Inability to preview packs is an issue so I welcome any suggestions from you guys for solid string sounds that attack right away rather than swell in dynamically. Thanks in advance.

there are lots of spiccato patches in one of the packs, I think in the varia pack. unfortunately, good strings are spread all over the various packs so you might end up buying a few of them.

Fair enough. I will start with the varia pack and work my way through whilst trying not to take out a second mortgage :D .
