Yep. Thanks.
That's exactly what it sounds like - a gate. And it's blooming awesome sounding. Love it... (it's also a quantised gate if you want it to be).
Great stuff, a very inspiring surface
It does! it is! it's coming! I'm coming! using it right now in the beta!!! OMFG it is so awesome!
@Alex fox you gotta get Haq to do a preview video on Midi it's awesome!!!
Authenticity beats perfectionism every ... single ... time.
Good vid that man.
Watching you work never ceases to amaze and inspire me. I have the app, but have yet to do much with it. Maybe after your tutorial....
@jakoB_haQ: Maybe you could post your surface to the network so others could learn from it? Nice one, btw!
Does this app have midi clock sync? ie will it follow another programs midi clock?
it has Ableton Link
I don't think one can post 'user samples' on the network... seems like a recipe for copyright issue...In my opinion..
Edit ... Man I just want to press a button and have a project ready for mixing on Sonar... midi and audio...
Saw that, but want to know if it will follow the midi clock of a hardware groovebox (mpc/elektron)
Also know about link to midi but don't want the groove box to follow krft
Not sure if they plan to ever add midi sync, worth asking the developers though.
You killed med

Thank you! =D
Was going to suggest MIDI Link Sync, which I think can go in the other direction, but it doesn't appear to be in the App Store anymore, nor Looptree
that's a shame, hope they will be back in the store
How about Link to MIDI by Alexandernaut? It's still on the AppStore.
Too bad that apps just disappear like that.
It is fun to watch others play krft as well as playing it yourself, good work jakob i love the snappy transitions between sections.
I hadn't realised about the gated aspect of the sample player, will have to try that out later, thank you
Great Job @jakoB_haQ ! Do you know that Indian singers name?
So I bought this and it really is fantastic, one of the only apps I've bought this year and definitely worth the buy.
Unfortunately my iPad mini2 really struggles to run it, to the point where the graphics slow down and I can't trigger the sounds in time with the beat.
For now I will just use it to run a single synth line in my setup, but would be nice to have a low power version that just lit up the pads but removed the fade halo effect around the trigger pads
Can you give more details about your settings for that vocal sample that plays like it is gated? I've tried a bunch of different setting options in KRFT and I can't get that gated effect with my sample. It just simply goes on/off.
Heya, I have an iPad mini (retina) and it runs ok. In the next update we made lower power devices run at 30fps instead of 60 so this might help. If you can drop me an email I'd like to put you on the beta so you can see if it makes a difference! Send me a DM.
Too bad the price keeps going up for this one. €10,99 now. I guess I don't need it that much after all.
It's absolutely worth every penny IMHO.
Best app I've ever purchased as it has rekindled my music creativity and not depend on canned midi loops or Arranger type keyboards. This actually has me coming up with stuff especially with midi out Driving LayR, DRC, FT8 and Thor!
Awesome!!
I love the fact you can create a few sequences pointing to the same "device". All with different step lengths. Made some great melodies already
Will do and thanks!
I don't know If you are following me on twitter, but recently started doing this "thing" to challenge myself with my video making stuff. Twitter allows for 2 minute videos. And so I've made this haQ attaQ Twitter Quickies concept. I basically make short to the point tutorials that are 2 minutes long tops.
I just uploaded a tutorial on this whole KRFT sample later thing as a response your question!

Love the concept and the video. Followed on twitter. Thanks!
