Fun filled 2 hours you say. I hope you used protection.
Seriously though that sounds like a great music app demo video for someone to make
I still intend to make a video, but other projects keep eating up my time. The manual (pdf on ruismaker.com) already contains some advanced Ripplemaker programming tricks to show you a few unusual techniques.
cool, i didn't know that was possible with ios. how do you automate Au instruments? does it have to be within a specific daw? I will look at cubasis on my ipad, but how can i automate Au instruments and effects on my iphone???
Less eating, more videoing please Captain.
The manual is excellent, I've read through once, and plan to re-read regularly until I can pretty much recite it
Excellent. Can you then make a video
Bm3 is the only daw capable of au automations from the plugin ui afaik. But if the au has midi controllable parameters, you could send that midi on other daws to it as well
are there any other sequencers on iOS similar to this one, that are sequencer only?
None that I'm aware of, especially not with the beautiful random functions. I think that's why so many people are trying to coerce the dev into doing one. I don't see how he takes the constant pounding.
Edit: In case you didn't know, you CAN use the Trouble/Ripple sequencers in Audiobus 3 MIDI to feed into other apps.
can they be used to feed other apps without using audiobus?
Will the behavior of the sound remain the same if I ditch the sequencer and trigger it with something else? (Assuming i don't play it polyphonically of course) Or is it all dependant?
It will behave the same. The built-in sequencer has nice morphing features. These of course won't be in play.
No, unfortunately. One of the few reasons I keep Audiobus 3 around
I don't think so.
It has a standalone mode, just no midi out. The standalone mode has the sequencer, AU does not.
thanks Oaty
Not quite the same, but you can export the midi
Thanks @brambos I'm really enjoying your app, both synth and sequencer.
THAT is the only reason I made the jump from AB2 to AB3.
I think maybe our gracious hosts should owe a little sugar to Brambos
@branbos your creations are superb! I crumbled and grabbed Troublemaker and its excellent, the feel of the touch UI is impeccible, its like a toy its so easy to use. What a pair with Ripplemaker this will make!
having trouble with ripplemaker. if i send it midi from a another midi app, it won't trigger anything shorter than an eighth note. am i missing something? if i send the exact same thing to troublemaker, it works perfectly. any ideas??
I am bonding with Ripplemaker. Such a nice unique set of sounds from the West Coast approach. I plug in cables and twist knobs at random, no idea what I'm doing but nice sounds emerge. My only regret is that it seems to be stuck in ET. This means that I will never finish a track with it, since I only work in just.
