I'd use Pro-L right after record (or import) with acoustic stuff to get a neat balance on track level, then simply render in place and remove the plugin from that track. Just to give a good pronounciation, not squashing things.
It makes mixing a lot easier and often saves a compressor.
That's a nice trick. I assume that would be more at the mixing stage....all of your instruments have been recorded (virtual instruments frozen), and you are pretty much working strictly in the "audio realm"?

I noticed on the FF demo videos Dan always seems to add oversampling to improve audio quality on his Fabs. So now I do this too without really knowing why but I have noticed cpu creeping up (with c2 on each four channels with oversampling x2) , these tips are going to help.

if you are starting of its pro-C for.. what even more great is many comp tutorials use pro c as reference comp

if you wish to have a taste for MB compressor and see what they do...
recommend Bark filter and Klevgrand Pressit to have a feel...

Is there a trick to get the AU-Fx get in function in AUria? I can load it on the Audio-Track, but there is no sound until I bypass it again...?
I don't have any AU-fx: all my AU are instruments...
Can it be true? Non of the AU-effects work in Auria. Neither as insert or send.
I've used many successfully in my projects. Just bear in mind that most AU effects only support latencies up to 512, so if you have set your project latency to something higher, like 4096, the majority of AU effects will not work. AFAIK this an an issue with the AUs and not with Auria.
Yes and no. Apple's AU samplecode sets the maximum buffersize to 512. Many developers overlook this setting and leave it there, but you can make it anything you like.
But until recently Auria also did not properly communicate song position, transport states etc. to the effect plugins. Has that been fixed yet?
Audio effects working! I think that Midi effects doesn’t work...
I just tested with Audio Damage Pumhouse and Replicant and both seem to work OK as long as the project latency is 512 or below.

It would be good if the dev community was more aware of the latency setting you mentioned in your earlier post BTW, because higher latencies are hugely useful in the later stages of a mix once you start adding more plugins.

one reason I didnt upgrade L2 is I heard latency is higher but can be switched to lower setting.
Thanks for informing about the 512 buffers size requirement for Auv3 (ed. effects). Ive been wondering why Au3 effects cut out when I use AB3 inputs in Auria for ages. It seems it is because AB3 had buffers set to 1024 so every time I launch AB3 it forces a larger buffer size onto Auria and the (usually AD's EoS and dubstation) effects stopped outputting. I just had to lower the buffer in AB3, simple!
The frustaration is over, finally and I thank you (emoticon of a pint)
+1 for this not to be an issue with larger buffer sizes. Are Rim and the other dev's aware?
I don't think Rim can do much about it, Auria supports higher latencies, so it's up to the devs making AUv3 effects to allow for that in their plugins.

Timeless 2 is a fantastic plug-in, with a whole lot of versatility. You can do extreme stuff with this, or extremely subtle stuff. It is the best IOS delay.
Saturn is also well worth having. As with Timeless 2, the vast range of what you can do makes it almost essential. It is particularly good for adding richness/ saturation to individual elements or an entire mix.
Volcano, while just as versatile as the other two effects FF, is more of an acquired taste.
Pro-R sounds and looks absolutely beautiful. However, it is the FF we have used least. Likely because the way FF intends it to be used is not completely compatible with our workflow. But for those whose workflow it does suit, this is probably the best reverb for IOS.
