  • Everything working fine now that I updated to 11.4.3 ... I hate updating when I don't need to, afraid it'll upset the balance & disturb the force, but apparently the new egoist update didn't get along with 11.3, so it forced my hand.

    wowowowowow! Awesome!
    Thank you Sugarbytes!!!!

Unfortunately I don't have any sound in the beats section.
I tried AU, I tried Standalone, I tried reinstall, I tried reboot.
What am I missing? you guys have sound in the drums part?

I had that too until I loaded a kit.

    yeah, I cannot do that

Same here in standalone. Quit and restarted and kits load now. Same as AU in AUM.

  • strangly, now it works. I haven't done anything new or whatever... somehow its working now. great to see the egoist taking over AUM as AU - yeah!

  • Can anyone confirm that importing samples in the AU is working as expected?

I can only import in standalone and have it show up in the AU but I need to quit BM3 and reload to see it.

  • Oh crap... now I can't use itunes or ifunbox to copy files.

Looks like there is a file cap now too. Likely unintentional on their part. I just added one to the top and it kicked out the bottom most...

I was already on 11.43 and the drum are still not working for me. Just deleted, reinstalled but still nothing. Bass and Slicer work fine. I'm iPad Pro 12 9" 2016

Which kit do you have loaded?

    @AudioGus 95 guitti

    Which drumkit I mean

  • @AudioGus Mixed Kit 2. But now it's working again :):) I turned the ipad on and off again. Tried in standalone, Aum and BM3.

So I turned on icloud (yuck, now 200megs shy of full) hoping my missing samples would show up in app but they do not. They show up in the Files iCloud section but not in app.

Oh SB, please heal my dear Egoist, this hurts to see it like this. Can’t we just have regular Files support?

No file cap here. If I tap an empty area eg. in the user folder of the sample browser and move my finger up and down I can see all samples without any problems. Although I sometimes have to switch back to the main samples folder and then to the user folder again to see the last added sample files. So it seems that the user folder sometimes does not refresh properly.

How many do you have? I have 450

  • Wow...this is truly amazing...Just loaded a couple instances in AUM with some preset kits...Turnado...and it is just NUTS!!! Love IT!!!

  • Just counted. It is capping at 128 samples.

Is it capped in the standalone too?

  • Wish I could count that high, @AudioGus. I'm thinking of staying put until AUv3 evaluation evolves...

Yes, also seems to be the case in Effectrix. I kind of suspected this at one time but didn't think too hard on it until the plagued contaminated my blessed Egoist.

Well it's all pretty good regarding importing to the AU. Best way is to demo in Audioshare => save to Files, then in Files drop it in the Egoist icloud samples folder and you can import it in the AU.

The built in samples aren't in the icloud folder only the user ones so it's not too big a space unless you have huge amounts of user samples. :)

    This gives me hope! Thanks.

And I have a huge amount of user samples... well, I can get past the 128 limit (which I assume is a bug to be fixed) by combining all my small samples but the 2gig limit (icloud, no gus money for you) is a bit of a shame.

Now the question is can I get icloud stuff on my PC via itunes or something to then do the cleanup/combine etc? part of me thinks I should just wait to have them fix it as it really seems like a bug.

Yeah hopefully they'll update to improve, they usually do. Bit annoying the itunes folder is locked after the update.

Oh weird... I am supposed to have five gigs of icloud according to the auto-email I just got... but only seem to get 2 when I copy to it.

Woah, crazy how many apps were filling this up without me knowing it. I am a cloudiot.

  • I get the feeling that Apple make it easier to get developers to choose iCloud or internal storage use, not have both available (even though it's possible) so that they are pushing people to buy more icloud space.

  • Can anyone get the AU to sync with AUM transport controls?

Heh, yah I was thinking that could be the case.
