This is really, really good. A few instances of Egoist playing some sample loops, going through Turnado is about the most fun I've had on an iPad.

There also seems to be a kits folder in files, but I haven't worked out yet how to get user kits to load. Maybe you need to write an XML 'kit' file.
Oddly, the baseline seems to output midi, but not the beat generator.

The possibilities are endless. These SB guys were ahead of their time when they released this, especially as they were clever in keeping it so simple yet deceptively complex at the same time. The balance they struck was excellent.
Ah...how are you automating Turnado? I'm using AUM - is that an Apematrix thing?
It really is a game changer for me, and demonstrates the potential of AU's perfectly. While running single instances of Egoist and Turnado have always been lots of fun - stacking them up like this really opens up endless possibilities.

@MonzoPro I'm automating in BM3. Works a charm and I can easily sequence individual Egoist slices as described above by @mAxjUlien.
Yeah I asked SB about that a while ago, it's the same in the desktop version. But they said they might change that one day and liked the idea of midi out for the drum sequencer.
Yessir, BM3 and Egoist take me within an inch of how I sampled and sequenced in Live on my laptop. I'm finding that the onboard effects in BM3 are efficient and do the job. I have to imagine that the folks at Ableton and other big boys would look at what I can now accomplish on an iPad (without flipping over to my laptop) with widening eyes.
Ah right thanks. Sounds like I’m missing out on some serious fun there, time to boot up BM3!
@MonzoPro BM3 has an annoying learning curve but once you get over it, I'm confident you'll see the benefits.
Here I show how you can do a big batch with ‘slice to pads’ at once. Keep in mind this was back in the dark ages of IAA and not AU but it should still hold up.
I’m not a fan of its workflow, but realise it’s a powerful thing. Need to knuckle down with it again.

I spent last weekend and yesterday working on a few tracks exported from BM3 to desktop with the intention of ‘taking them to the next level’. I think I am coming to realise that the amount of time I am willing to spend doing this simply will not yield the fruit worthy of the time invested (err, if that makes sense). Sure I have a few vst reverbs that are better than what I have on iOS, the keyboard, mouse, extra monitor, spreading things out is handy but.... when I listen to three days of desktop mixing/mastering vs mastered Bm3 exports... Eh? Who am I kidding? ProQ2 is freaking amazing and by the time my next ipad roles around in a couple years there should be more ios Fabs and little point in me being on desktop for much, aside from making quick VST sample fodder for BM3. May as well just hang here and keep gettin my tap on.

So I am sequencing egoístas patterns via bm3 midi, but did I read someone here saying that you can midi sequence individual sample chops from a pattern ? How is this done ?
Some keys change patterns and others trigger slices. Just make sure you have the keyboard icon selected in the lower left corner....

Take it you're working currently in AUM.....have you been making loops for the purpose or just hacking up old stuff and plugging away in search of happy accidents (my preferred play station

Yeah just using a few old samples I’d loaded in the old version, as AU’s in AUM, plus some of the included drum loops. Since I’m mangling them up with Turnado it’s hard to tell what the source samples are anyway.
As with AudioLayer, Quanta etc. I need to get a shufty on and sort out my sample library. Need to import a few drum loops of my own from the desktop.
I’ll probably hammer out some source material in Maschine.
@AudioGus or anyone else, I just wanted to check, what happens to your user presets in the IAA version, and samples that you’ve imported etc ? Do you lose them or do they just transfer over to the AU? I’m assuming they do but just want to be doubly sure, as I can’t see where the original IAA versión stored the user presets. I can’t see them on my iPad files app anywhere
