I had to grab the Animoog for $10. Not AUv3 but the demo's indicated it makes sounds I just don't have and the internal keyboard/scales are pretty cool.

Yeah: Animoog AUv3 is the most elusive of all the unicorns.

    One day ...

Actually, Filtertron AUv3 would be pretty good too.

  • I'm after Filtatron AU, myself. It would be infinitely more useful....

Been a bit slow getting on the AU train. Have loads of AU noisemakers but could do with suggestions for FX, both standard fodder and for wilder palettes.

Audio Damage, all of em, except replace Dubstation with brambos Kosmonaut and replace QuatroMod with FAC Chorus. Bam you're covered.

Kosmonaut, RatshackReverb, Frekvens, Discord4 (proper bonkers, I use it on everything), and Turnado if you don’t have it.

Just picking up RE-1 as it’s on sale, that looks pretty wild too.

Thanks both. I'm not big on the AD stuff. Had RoughRider but couldn't read the labels. Had that AI rhythm thing too and got impression the dev never got round to fixing some issue that was stop me using it. Both those things put me off buying anything from them. RE-1 looks cool though.

I have Kosmonaut, but not Turnado, keep hearing great things about that.

Anything that works on both iPhone and iPad would be especially welcome.

Ok, I agree all AD products aren't stellar, but Rough Rider and Axon happen to be THE two worst in my opinion. So maybe at least give one of RatshackReverb and Discord4 a try like Monzo said. I really can't see how those 2 can miss; of all of them, the forum has universally loved those two.

  • How many instances of Zeeon are folks getting with 10.5 Pro? I’ve been wanting this one but keep hearing about CPU hogging.

I’m on an Air 2, but can confirm it’s a CPU gobbler, in the same class as the Moog Models.

Hmm. Gotta go dig through threads and YouTube to find more evidence for the case. Appreciate feedback from Zeeon users. SM1 and Poison are currently my fav Synths on iOS. What would Zeeon offer not covered by those?

It’s very different to those two, more like a Minimoog to my ears.

It’s a good synth - big, clean sound, but I’m not a fan of the UI, and it hammers my CPU. You should be ok on the Pro though, and it’s a bargain for a fiver.

It's a hog to be sure. A lovely hog. In fact, it delivered my only crash on ApeMatrix to date. Granted, I had alot of stuff going on and was deliberately testing the limits. I don't usually do this. Anyhow, it is another one of those apps that I need to dedicate more time to. It's just very ... something. Has personality.

I took some of my new toys and made a track

    • Zeeon for bass, pads ("cool beans... epic")
    • Rozetta Suite (Bass, Collider)
    • Animoog Lead (Historic synth sound)
    • FAC Transient processing "Soft Drums" to stiffen

and the whole enchilada put through Grand Finale to pretend I care about the technology of mixing.

And an Animoog smooth jazz take improved by Grand Finale:

  • You're getting good at this @McDtracy. I think I like what GF did.
    It sounds tight.

I just audition GF presets, export to AudioShare and then up to SoundCloud. You should get it on sale. Makes you sound a lot better at this whole game without putting in the effort to learn how. That's worth something right? A labor saving app.

For some Mixing is a Labor of Love. For me it's a million small decision that lead to "mixed" results.

Still lusting after "Brusfi" noise reducer. Especially for live inputs like Guitars, Hardware Synths.

Does Brusfi work with live audio? I've been looking for a noise reducer plugin to silence my hardware when it's not being played.

Yes, that's primarily what is for. Well, for me at least. Works much better than any noise gate.

@oat_phipps Thanks! I was under the impression that it only worked with recorded audio files. I'll definitely have to check it out then.

Yep, I bought it originally to combat the noise of a guitar with shoddy wiring

  • Just got Impaktor (and rf-1) ... as a beatboxer this app is freessssh AF!

I won’t be buying a lot this year, spent way too much in the past and I just bought Abes 10 Suite.

I have all the apps I need at this point hehe

Impaktor on an iPhone with a set of headphones is so much fun to make beats. For $3 you become the drum group of your dreams just just using fingernails on the iphone's case. It's a friggin' drum looper. Keep looping until you have a great groove.

If you have a child in your life let them play with this one for a while after explaining how to jump tracks.

  • Not iOS specific but I picked up a pair of Bose QC 35s for $300 at Target along with Izotope Neutron 2 and Ozone 8 for $50 each at Plugin Boutique. I have now completely overspent my budget but figure you only live once.

Thankful for any savings! It’s Thanksgiving holiday after all so I’m grateful!

My iPad is currently broken screen but was able to tape it together to still touch screen. So I’ll try to get a tunes gift card to get this awesome synth. :)

Happy to help – I've taped some broken screens together in the past, myself.

We will put it on sale for $7.99 starting tomorrow thru Cyber Monday. Hope you enjoy the synth. :)

Thanks everyone for the insight 🙏
