the annoying part about the free version is even when you upgrade to full and buy all the packs the app icon still says free - I know that shouldn't bother me but it kinda does
I agree with Frankiejay I think. As the recently departed Ms. Angelou mentioned: 'Nothing will work unless you do.' Which is (in appland, for me at least) a book-end to Pablo's dictum that 'Inspiration exists, but it must find you working.' I know; long-winded note to self

In fact, I bought it last Chritstmas.
I bought the $11.99 expansion.
Is it me or am i hearing crackling in "8 tech pad" under synth lead. It happens when playing multiple keys. And also with "movin lead".
Thanks for any feedback
@nic_b_nice Yeah, it crackles, but just a bit in the attack of the note, nothing really major here.

He's right. Sampletank crackles much better than bs-16i...
If you buy the snap pack, you'll have snap, crackle, and pop-ups.
Spoken like a true Rice Krispies fan...
Those crackling Soundfonts should be available for bs-16i somewhere.
Don't buy it!
get cubasis...and done deal...maybe even gadget
If you have a problem with SampleTank crackling, I assume it has been reported to our support team? It seems to work without any audio issues for many. Here is the URL in case you need it, they'll happily help: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/support

Many? That's not very comforting. Maybe you guys need to be more proactive. http://bit.ly/1q1AcSH
Being a hayseed I have no idea how you did that Mister @telecharge, but I admire it tremendously
Haha @telecharge that's awesome!
@ikmultimedia ..and while you're at it.... http://bit.ly/1llHNIv
I'd forgotten about lmgtfy. Useful and fun. Especially useful for those that come to you for answers they can find themselves.
Very clever @telecharge, however most of those results aren't even related to iOS...
The results might not be but the issues are. IK apps are full of popups and banners, even after you've paid. They crash a lot too. Their IAP's and expansion packs are way overpriced too, compared to the desktop versions. I avoid them now.
I think the hating on IK is a bit strong to be honest. Sampletank is OK, I own it and like it and I use it more than I use BS16i, which I also like. Some sounds are better in ST, others in BS16i, it's not really cut and dried.
Regarding the pop-ups, they are completely ineffective, if IK had any sense they would stop them, I'm sure they hurt more than they help.
I agree with the above post.
I love having such a complete and well organized library of quality sounds.
Most of the crackling issues were resolved in a recent update. That google search thing was cute but like someone already wrote most of the result links are not about the iOS version especially not the most recent fixed version.
Bear in mind that the OP is asking to be talked OUT of buying Sampletank. Difficult to be positive about ST and fulfill the original brief, so that may be causing an apparent lack of impartiality.
I think we first need to talk the OP into returning to the forum.
Has he left?
I don't know that he's left, but I don't see any activity from him more recent than the beginning of the year.
Perhaps he has then.
Perhaps he went into hiding to cry his eyes out because he secretly really wanted to get sampletank and we talked him out of it?
Now you've made me feel guilty...
And by many I meant many thousands. So the issue was alleged "crackling" and I'll have to ask again - have you reported this to tech support? That's typically how technical issues get fixed.
Edit - I see that it has been noted as fixed in a recent update for those that had this problem and if it isn't, the process should remain the same: report it to the people paid to help.
You edited the post before I could post this, but the question stands...
Are you saying, as a representive of the company that made the product, that a call to tech support needs to be made, after you have been informed here and furnished with a link showing a google search which corroborates the issue, many times over?
