BM3 crashes on me as well. Not as stable as I’d like. But it’s all the other comments that make some people sound like they just want to sound off. What does professional even mean? Is a SP404 more or less professional than BM3?
The fact that the reviews for BM3 vary from “it lets me spit out professional quality tunes in less than hour” to “can’t get anything done, crashes all the time” is frankly, very suspicious for a prospective buyer like myself. So yeah I’m probably not gonna get it. Until I hear there are zero crashes whatsoever. None of my other apps crash. Maybe once a year, I dunno. Get your shit together devs then you can have my money.
Don’t get me wrong. BM3 isn’t bug free. But then again...nothing is.
My point is that pretty much anything can be used to make music. And IMO people here are making really good music. And we are all using these same tools. People are talking like these apps are zero or one. Either they work or they don’t. That’s just not the case. BM3 has bugs but I never felt like it would stop me from making music.
...and if all I’m doing is griping about it and not showing anything for it, meaning here’s stuff I CAN do, but I can’t with BM3 or insert-any-DAW-here because x y and z. Just saying “it sucks” with nothing to truly back it up with is trolling.
I could easily show several bugs. But I can also show you something I cranked out with it anyway
, bugs be damned.
It’s the incessant crying with zero to show for it (in regards to music) that is telling. It’s just trolling.
Not saying YOU are doing that, I’m saying vov is.
Then you will never buy it, probably.
What other DAW type apps do you have that never crash?
What was the old joke about Jesus and the devil’s experience using Windows? The devil was pissed because he kept losing all his work ‘cause Windows kept crashing but Jesus had a much better user experience because Jesus saves... 🤣
🤣
Why feed this troll? He does this with every thread to derail it. He spits out nonsense all day and night, never has any proof, quotes advertisement like their suppose to be the holy grail and never showed any of his work or issues. He goes by various names in here and has been banned before here and at the Intua forum.
For those having issues with BM3, hopefully the upcoming update will be more stable for you. Myself and the rest of the beta testers are doing the best we can.
Will this update be crash free and include everything a lot of us asked for? NO but it’s a start in the right direction again. things are looking positive.
Is it safe to buy it now or install it again? I say wait for the update and judge for yourself or hear/read what the masses have to say about it.
Sense outta nonsense.
Add to that list iSEM ! Ironically, one of best sounding+most stable+most cpu efficient plugins is one of first AU plugins ever made
)
Anyone here remember Reasonstation website from back in the early 2000s?
These BM3 discussions are so similar.
Of course when people care about a certain software/hardware there’s always this type of discussion. I remember similar to NI Kore, maschine now these days, Akai MPCs (5000 was a shit show
) etc..
Load a sample , make your loop points , add some saturation, adjust cross fade , adjust start point , turn off disk streaming ,
Hit reverse , boom , CrashMaker3 beats...
PS. 100% reproducible (iOS 12.3 iPad 2018)
Edit: Using the Hold envelop to few seconds for keeping the loop going...
The real question here is if BM3 can keep up with others at this point. BM3 is my personal go to app for beats but lacks some basic stuff like midi clock sync which is annoying. I think the only app that even comes close is GR-16 but is a totally different tool in many ways.
Didn’t crash for me. 2017 iPad 12.4
How long is your loop?
The samples are small, drum hits , make them like synth.
But that’s a key question since I forgot to mention that I use the hold on the envelope to 2-3 seconds because I want to hear the loop points without having to press down the key.
So either it crashes or mutes the sound.
I found a bunch of crashlogs but is there a direct mail to send them (aka ticket) ?
I still couldn’t get it to crash. Just sent a PM.
What is this, the school playground ?
Nobody needs to provide any proof of their productions to have an opinion, even if they are a troll.
It seems simpler to crash . Just make the loop points (smaller than a sec) , put some crossfading, switch to AHD envelope and set hold to ~2sec then hit reverse .
Thanks for the pm , I also made a screen recording to help him.
BUT that’s the reason I don’t use CrashMaker3 , left the forums and don’t use the app.
Excited to hear for upcoming update , hopefully BM3 will get regular updates ,paid or free...
Hmm, I can’t repro this.
Also tried hitting reverse and adding saturation. Am I missing something?
Pro 10.5 12.something
EDIT: Ahh, ok after a minute of just jumping all over and toggling reverse and mashing just about every option I could crash it.
Tiny loops and single cycle waveforms are not my bag but yah if it is yours then for sure this is useless.
Here's the video.. Fresh install of BM3, cold boot of my iPad 2017. iPadOS 13.1
2 iSEM crashes within 10 mins
at 3:28
at 9:04
Solution: don’t use iSEM and BM3 together
Also, thank you for saving me 14$
The iSEM issue is not BM3 fault, it’s needs to be updated.
It also crashes In Cubasis
It sounds stable in NS2. At least I assume so if @dendy uses it?
Yeah maybe the problem iSEM..
I'll try some other synths, then you might save some more money ;-)
Here's a bug of not saving midi input channel with a bank..
Yah I do know of that one. Since we are sharing in the OT bug reportfest...
Despite these it clearly DOMINATEZ!!!
Yeah maybe the problem is iSEM..
