QVox by Eventide
https://apps.apple.com/app/id1488786684
Description:
QVox is a creative audio effect that transforms vocals, guitars, drums, and synths into four independent voices. Create beautiful harmonies, widen instruments and design groovy rhythmic sequences with diatonic pitch shifting and delay. You can choose the key, scale, and each voice’s pitch and delay interval, with the ability to alter any parameters in real-time using the Ribbon controller.
Features:
- Four independent voices (labeled as A, B, C, D) with diatonic pitch shifting and delay
- Select Key and Scale to create harmonies that coincide with your compositions or use the Learn button to set the key by the incoming note you play
- Group the four delays so that they are evenly spaced or spread out
- Sync the delays to tempo, or a value of your own choosing
- The Ribbon controller allows for dynamic modification of several knobs at once to easily morph between settings
- Factory presets help get you started or create your own User presets
- Mixlock helps when auditioning different presets by enabling a global Mix value that will remain constant for every subsequently loaded preset
- Works as a standalone app, AudioUnit v3 effect, or Inter-App Audio effect

I have no more money🤪🤪
Anyone knows if the individual voices can be fine-tuned?
I urgently need Mr Woods for this.
Bought it. Last I promise 😂 I don’t see fine tuning.
Thanks!
With Eventide's history of pitch shifting, I expect these voices to sound very clean, right?
Super clean.
But I confess. Don’t understand the use of this. I try to put on some vocals, strings, piano and drums but it makes a lot of mess😂😂😂maybe I have to wait someone who knows what to do precisely😉
I love this one. You can use it to turn a single note into a chord. I use it to resample notes on the Digitakt and turn them into chords. Also good for arpeggiated chords. And tuned delays.
Another neat feature is that is plays in key. So, if you’re in C major, and you play an A, then the third will be minor. This is one of my favorite Eventide H9 algorithms.
@Charlesalbert Try playing one note at a time.
I have an H9 Max and it doesn’t have Qvox. It has Quadravox which looks almost the same. Anyone have any idea what the differences are?
This is the unique selling point of it to me. I don't think we have any other pitch shifter on iOS that does this (setting key/scale), right?
Best Xmas gift ever, thank you very much Eventide!!!
hmm, I hope this doesn't mean that quadrovox isn't going to make an appearance on ios. The ability to tune the chords more precisely is the main appeal to me.
Thank You i will do👌
Any videos out ? Can’t see one
there are two videos on the Eventide site
So do I get it right the Eventide 'QVox' snaps to semitones and doesn't allow fine tuning?
(To my eyes the UI looks almost the same as QuadraVox but a bit more polished, all the controls are there).
Can’t see this being better than Harmonizr for vocals. But we will see.
Hmm... very interesting. Would seem to pair up nicely with monophonic synths like Shockwave, iMS-20, and iVCS3.
Edit: I wonder if this effect was put on Pure Acid, which would melt first... my speaker, ears, or brain? The only scientific way is to try it... 😂
+1
I'm going to try 4 channels of
GliderVerb with Kosmonaut
in AUM see how that sounds.
It could be done with Dischord
thinking about it in place of Gliderverb.
Was waiting for this! Yes!!!
@Gravitas, @zah etc:
I just did all this in AUM with Nic's fantastic StreamByter and AD's fantastic Discord 4 apps.
Now I have to find out how to upload zip files
Yep, thought so.
Glad the theory worked.
Brilliant.
Looking forward to hearing what you've done. 😁
Does anyone know how to upload zip files here?
There's no AUM or apeMatrix section on Patchstorage.
Semi Permalink via Dropbox or Googledrive?
@rs2000

This looks the same as Quadravox to me. The H9 version also steps in semitones @samu.
I've tried that and I can see the zip files, but i cannot select them, only JPG or PNG as it seems.
Edit: Download this png using Readdle Documents and rename it to end on ".zip".
I bought it, but on vocals it makes me sound like Donald Duck, even with a small interval upwards.
SOLD! ( to the man with the feathery arse )
Nice to see more ET plugs....So it's related to but not as good as Quadravox on desktop?
Need to try that too, cracks me up, SOLD!
