You should be able to close the shop window, and it should not be opened again?

Of course we can close the shop window, but
    every_single_time_you_start_cubasis_2.8.2_it_opens_the_shop_window
    Every time. Why?

    Yeah, same problem here...very annoying...

Same here, but with the "transfer IAPs to Cubasis 3" page... seems like it is detecting that I have purchased C3, but not that I have already done the transfer...

BTW transferring my projects from C2 to C3 has gone easy and smooth via share function... so, if nobody is screaming "stop, don't do it!!", I am going to delete C2 soon.

2.8.2 shop not opening here, lands on most recently opened project as usual. Seems like a bug rather than marketing for those with the shop issue. FWIW I’ve been stoked with Cubasis and its long and free update pathway. I’ve got steinberg hardware and hope the Le v3 / iap transfer will eventually be available....if not I’ll wait for a sale and dip into the $ pool as needed. Either way cubasis has been incredible value

    Hi @marliess,

Do you have further details, why the shop did not open with every launch?
Can reproduce the issue on the iPad Pro 12.9" 1st Gen myself.

Of course, opening the shop at every launch is not intended.

    Best,
    Lars

...it's called aggressive marketing ...that's why

    Hi @AH_MediaDesigns,

For sure, opening the shop at every launch is not intended, but a simple bug.
Why should we do such stupid things?

    Best,

Could you please let me have more details, what actually is broken in Cubasis 2.8.2?
    Thanks
    Lars

    Hi Lars,
have you tried something like this:

    @electronicsfordogs said:
Create a simple project, a drum module and a synth module of your choice triggered by rozetta rhythm and bassline (any midi-plugin will do), maybe add a track Ruizmaker Noir. Something like that, nothing fancy. Play with it. Start/Stop it...

    ??
    Are you getting stable timing?
In my case its simply broken..
    cheers
    lutz

I made some comparisions between my old and trusty iPad 9.7 with iOS 12.4 and C2 2.8.1 and my Air 3 with iPadOS 13.3 and the new C2 2.8.2
Both set to 48k and 24 Bit.

The Air 3 uses more than double as much CPU (visually in Cubasis) for exactly the same mini-project and i cannot use "Ultra-Low" (which is simply the Low setting, whatever Ultra Low realy is, please fix that finally!).

With "Low" Setting (which is medium), I only rarely get crackles with the new Version.
The older version, on the older iPad works flawless even with "Ultra Low"!

    @LFS

It's well known that you can not trust these cpu meters and newer ipads throttle the cpu different than older ones.

Hi @LFS, I don’t recall cubasis opening straight to the shop at any time since the 2.8.2 update. I’m on an iPad 2018 with latest iOS. I was really just highlighting that the shop bug is not universal. I’ve only opened a couple of projects since updating and have noticed no issues at all. CPU seemed lower than the previous version if anything, and no functional bugs/ glitches at all

The bug occurred for me when opening Cubasis 2.8.2 after installation, and always occurs after force quitting the app. I've posted this in the Cubasis 2 Forum but no response yet.

  • Hi @tja,

I fully understand that you experience issues with Cubasis 2.8.2 at this moment.

After the release of Cubasis 3 we receive huge feedback on several forums and social media channels, and I do my best monitoring all of them to give feedback.

Unfortunately, I am unable to reply to the huge number of replies posted by you in this thread.

Let's try to clearly break things down tomorrow, so I am able to easily understand your issues, and to share them with the team afterwards.

Will get in touch with you via private message tomorrow morning.

    Thanks,
    Lars

Please create 8 MIDI tracks with PhaseMaker and Rozeta Particles each and check CPU usage and crackles, at Ultra Low and Low latency.

Hi @tja, sorry don’t have either of those apps...I do mainly guitar stuff. I opened a project with 18 audio tracks + 4 au’s of isymphonic midi. This worked fine with around 50% cpu / no crackling. I duplicated the isymphonics to 8 midi tracks. This played fine for about 10 seconds with no cracking and 75% cpu, before the sound crackled then totally dropped out, with the project becoming unresponsive. Restarted cubasis and went back to 4 au’s and it worked fine again. So yeah, 8 midi tracks with AU was unusable for me also

I’d love to hear the outcome of this, if there is a workaround. I’m experiencing the exact same issues on the 2019 ipad mini (which is to be expected, as apart from size they are the same ipad). I hope you find a fix soon!

    I fully understand!

I also feel sorry for you personally.

    I discovered the next thing.

Restarting Cubasis 2.8.2 rendered the project useless, it seems.

While any single Particles instances seems to run, not one track is producing sound anymore!

Going to read you PN now

    Hi tja,

Judging the screenshot all tracks are muted.
    Could this be the reason?

    Best,
    Lars

    Did you try that project?
    Reload and restart some times.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/3yfrdq40i3auttg/Test C2.cbp?dl=0

I get crackles even with 1 track at Ultra Low latency.
And reloading / restarting lead to Cubasis being totally stuck.

Ultra Low latency increases the chance of crackles. Medium (which is really high as you rightly point out) should be less prone to crackles. Lower latency = higher CPU usage.

The project plays and reloads fine here on Air 2 even at Ultra Low.
What are your audio settings under "Project"? (not under Audio in the settings)
