No it doe snot make you a shill, but if you write like one they can decide, sorry

going out of your way to protect any developer or IK multimedia is suspect when you could instead provide a solution, all customers would be upset if the pricing schemes favors something over another like this.
Buy the signature APP and you get the IAP in amplitube for free???
but if you pay the same price for the signature iAP in amplitube you have to buy the same signature APP.
That sounds correct to you?
Hope its not like this around here
doe snot
Why ar people here trying to divert the fact that any purchase on the app store can be returned within 14 days including IAP purchases?, no need to argue.
I personally think IK multimedia should simply sell their signature tones apps and IAPS together for one price and not just if you buy the app first.
You may not agree with me if your the developer but as a customer im sure im not the only one who thinks that customers should not pay twice if they purchased a signature IAP in amplitube and want the signature IOS APP which already coms with a free IAP for amplitube.
My reason for the Slash app was that i assumed no unpaid un trial versions of amps will crow
No one is diverting anything. We just don't share your outrage -- and are getting slagged for not agreeing with you.
But of course you want customers to pay twice if your a developer, greed is nothing new
But if your honest and here to help like Apple did, why not suggest to return it, why instead claim you can't?
i already explained what appears to be a bug, but its clearly not a bug, you pay once for a SIGNITURE APP and get a free IAP of this app which shows up in amplitube but if you got the IAP you have to pay twice the other way around.
Whats wrong with Apple's solution to return it and buy the ios APP if IK Multimedia claims there is no way?
BTW everyone who reads this can return any app within 14 days at shorturl.at/CMPU5 just log in with your iCloud account and report a problem, this includes in app purchases, you have to be reasonable., in my case thy agreed IK was charging differently if a customer paid for a IAP which they could get for free inside Amplitube if they purchased the signature tone app.
+1
Im not been harsh at all, i don't distinguish anyone above another, always respect you guys for all the help and knowledge you shared, if i share something with you its because i have something to share, i don't believe customers want to pay twice for something in the app store which is what this is, period.
Im not keen on this company either but you aren't getting trolled here so no need to chuck the term around.
I’m plus 1-ing the comment about Mr Wim. He’s one of the good guys, and trying to help. Not commenting on your experience at all.
Why the whiney alternatum ?, again NO ON SHOULD PAY TWICE for the same thing...
should i explain again that IK charges customers twice for th slash APP if they first buy a IAP in Amplitube, you get th IAP are if you buy the app first, get it?
First I apologize for my late reply. Secondly I cannot and have not tried any of their apps before buying them. My method of “seeing what it is I’m buying” is to read the app description, including the price, and maybe watch Doug’s videos if available. So far IK has consistently delivered what I was expecting. Yes I was annoyed at their pop ups to buy stuff, but none of my IK apps do that anymore so I no longer am annoyed.
This is my explanation. I hope you resolve your issues that you have chosen to share with us here on our forum.
No one said you should pay twice. You have two weeks after purchase to get a refund. If you tried to get a refund and weren’t able to that fact got lost in the essay about your general objections to these companies.
The thread title asks about whether people object to the companies pricing. So, that has been the focus of people’s replies.
You seem to want to continue to engage me on this topic. I tried to explain that the App Store doesn’t allow for a separate app to be enabled by an IAP in a different app. I agreed that offering both the separate app and the IAP, which causes this confusion, is a bad choice by IK. I clarified the reason for misunderstanding your complaint. I’ve nothing further to offer. Oh, and I was sincere in wishing for your day to improve, not being dismissive.
Apparently you got your money back. That’s good. Apparently you’re seeking people who agree with you about IK, and not really asking if people are upset about it or not. That’s cool. I hope the thread settles down and you get some sympathetic responses. -cheers.
(@ Everyone else ... thanks for the kind words, but no need to counter the OPs opinion of my posts. I’m perfectly cool with it. 😎)
I have patience guys, i will clarify all the confusion here on your part with no problemo.
1.I don't take who i reply into consideration, i am simply replying. , Apple already stated that the developer is responsible for this confusing scheme and they can change it.
2.I'am glad you agree with the thread and topic, the solution is to get a refund from Apple within 14 days..
Developers had suggested this to me in the past for other situations..only drawback is waiting for the money in the bank if your broke i guess., not sure how long that takes.
3.The title of this thread is asking people if they are upset at this price scheme you agreed to be confusing., whether or not they agree depends on if they think its fair...i found some of the comments supporting IK in charging twice to be PR comments., no one in their right mind wants to pay twice for the same thing.,
I was hoping you guys had a solution besides turning the product, its why i asked if anyone was happy, with with the pricing scheme been so confusing.
Wish you all a happy new year
No one said that charging you twice was good policy. I think you misinterpreted mine and others’ comments.
There is no way to tell which way this one is gonna go folks, the Force is strong in Wim but Gavriel has a pic of Jesus playing the guitar on a mountain top while playing an harmonica at the same time... it's not a fair fight but I think Gavriel has the edge on this one...

Doe snot.
As you’re getting a bit of a bruising - I share your opinion of ik. Have owned many of their apps and hardware - all have been atrocious compared to competition. Sampletank is unusably bad for orchestral sounds in any decent piece of music. I don’t feel the same about positive grid because I rate their apps and haven’t encountered the pricing issues.
I have also seen many many unprofessional replies and closing of threads from ik online, and their rep here recently had a tantrum and insulted me and any consumers who disagreed with their pricing. Most of their apps being poor is not a crime, but their laughable embittered second hand car salesman approach to customer service is something close to that. I can almost smell the hair products and see the turned up shirt collars. U_U
You’re also right that as opposed to the person saying this thread attracts ik haters Etc it always attracts the more loyal fans, which is perfectly fine if they’re being reasonable but presents a misleading picture. In the largest iOS musician fb group ik has a terrible reputation.
Anyway. I’m not sure about all this troll stuff but I thought at least you deserve to hear a similar opinion of that company, moreso their practices and the way they conduct themselves professionally.

I agree with the OP.
They should just sell the SA version and that will also unlock the models in Amplitube.
Why all this convoluted BS?
This is how Korg deals with there SA synths working in Gadget, and also how SA apps also work inside Hosts as AU, IAA, or AB plugins.
If you want Slash, you buy Slash. If you want the rest of the Amplitube, buy that, and get access to the Slash stuff if you own the Slash app.
It should be as simple as that. The way it is now is confusing, and not how most other devs handle this situation.
Thanks to the OP for sharing this lame customer experience, as well as providing a way to remedy the situation if others are in the same situation, or are about to buy these apps and are also confused by the weird pricing.
OP stated he doe snot hate on IK, just hates this stupid way of selling their expansions for Amplitube.
So put down the the pitchforks, and enjoy your popcorn.
@CracklePot not a pitchfork in sight.
Good to know.

Uh, don’t mind me... I was just giving the horses some hay.
Steady up! Don’t you come galloping in here with your straw man arguments!
