just got it, and getting started with it. very fun. so i see clock dividers, but where do i get my initial clock signal from to send to other modules?

From AUM or Audiobus, into a midi module

Great news! Is it a different app from version 1? If I buy it on iPhone will it charge me?

No, it will not charge you. It will look for all the world like it's going to, but after you go through everything that looks like you're buying it again, it'll tell you that you already bought it and do you want to install it for free.

This must be yet another AppStore bug. I hate such issues. And I bet developers do as well.

Not a bug, but just the dumbest behavior in the world. This question comes up all the time. I can't fathom why Apple doesn't improve that behavior. It seems to be by design though. Dumb design, but design.

If, when you add a module, you list them as tags rather than packs (top left in module selector) there is a ‘clock’ tag. The very last one ‘simple clock’ is probably the easiest to get started with.

  • Is there a MIDI out module? I only see midi in

    Yes, I can confirm this.
I just trusted @wim and went ahead and "bought" it but after processing payment it informs you it's a free update and that you won't be charged for it.

    Thank you very much!

  • I just want to add that I find incredible the speed and the amount of modules and features he's adding.

    Plus, it works so well.

Thank you for this great app!

  • Can't Apple make the 'this is free because you already own it' prompt appear BEFORE you hit the payment button? Would save a lot of frayed nerves.

Sure, if they only chose to fix it 🤬

  • does anyone know if there is a module for midi out?

aww, i was afraid that would be the answer. would be cool if it did though.

  • @mifki : it would be super helpful if it were possible to change a patches name from inside the patch. I am finding it quite challenging to keep track of patches that I create on the fly since they get random names. If one doesn't immediately give them a name it is often hard to remember what is what.

I would like this too. I have the habit now of immediately naming each patch as soon as I exit it, so it's not a big deal, but I always feel like it should work differently.

I also wish there was some option to not auto-save patches. I always like to revisit patches, try a few experiments, then have the option to bail out without saving the changes. Since I don't always know in advance whether I may be changing anything, I need to take the extra step of duplicating the patch to avoid possibly messing up a good one.

No complaints though ... the current system is manageable. It just seems like it could be improved a bit.

Double-thumbs up on the ability to not save a patch. If it were possible to delete or rename a patch from inside, that would be hugely better.

  • Yeah I’ve already promised improvements to patch saving but got distracted by... all the other stuff I’ve added recently, sorry

  • It’s all good, the amount of stuff you’re adding is mind blowing.

  • It worth it purely for one of the reverb modules, one of the best app on ios ever,

  • Apologies not necessary @mifki, MiRack got some recognition from Andrew Huang on YouTube recently as a good introduction to modular, top stuff.
