I’d be thrilled of Drambo or even Mirack eventually added AU hosting, sort of like Zmors Modular does but exposing far more than 2 parameters to modulation - including P-lock mod, etc.
@Eschatone it works well already as a midi sequencer for notes and parameter control as AU. Agreed, local hosting in standalone would be fantastic.

Ahh yah, this and The Orb at that time were big on me greymatter. I miss hunting for choice samples as opposed to sorting through a tsunami.
@dendy I’m really not much of a sound designer, although Drambo has me much more interested exploring making my own sounds. But here are some features and sounds that I think are cool.
THX sound - 30 saw waves with a series of envelopes and SH lfos controlling pitch and pan, each independently
Playing with Clocks and Scenes - individual clocks are controlling 3 different oscillator/envelope pairs. You can lock parameters to scene to morph with the cross fader
Scratch sampler pattern - scratch sampler is cool. It’s part of Flex sampler which has one shot, slice, loop and scratch mode. Scratch mode just treats offset like play head (or needle I guess?). This is a CV sequencer playing the offset but going through a slew limiter one linear for smooth control of offset.
Start/stop effects on sample - Controlling pitch with envelope on sliced sample. Because you can plock everything, modulations can be set to only occur on certain steps (and even these can be set to occur ever Nth loop, or to specific scene, or by probability)
Cello with filter bank - an example of some more creative sound design (made heavy use of some SOS synth secrets and other forums). Synced Saw wave through a filter bank. Random Envelope controlling the amount of sync for scratchy starts.
Recording automation as audio - this is just an example of some of the wild stuff that’s possible. You can connect inputs and outputs that “shouldn’t go together” and the whole system really lends itself to exploration. This is CV value from a knob being recorded and played back in Flex Sampler. Initially the knob is modulating filter cutoff, but then I change it to the output of the sampler to modulate filter cutoff.
Apologies for poor quality of screen recordings, I’ll have to figure out a way to narrate or indicate what’s going on for future videos.
I think everything in here will see final Drambo in terms of functionality, but Giku has hinted at maybe a new version of sampler modules for extended functionality.

@bcrichards Those were pretty much all awesome lol. I think this might have been answered, there's an awful lot of pages, but is it only standalone for right now? Wondering how it plays in the wider context of an arrangement as an AUv3.
I kind of envision trying to use this as the brains of the operation, driving synths and etc in AUM. Just to see how it does. Not sure if this is do-able, but I think it could/would lend itself to elektron / opz style sequencing experimentation. Or at least that's what I envision in my head.
I still stand by this...

Oh! I do have one other question, again if it's been answered in this mess of posts I apologize.... are samples loaded into a "session" or "project" in Drambo also packed into the project/session file itself? Ie > does the app depend on the location of a sample on the device, or, can I simply copy my project over to another device and the sample is embedded in the project/session (ala GarageBand, each project is basically just a phatty zip file). I'm hoping the latter, but will cope with it if samples in use are stored somehow else. thx!

letters that are not followed by vowels? I speak English and Pig-latin fluently so I get languages. I did take High School French but that lady kept trying to teach me French without translating all this words she kept spewing. Conjugations? Please.
