What I am really missing is panning, depending on the material I fire with it.
level and panning per slice would be very very nice.
Doesn't need to be exotic, there are already so many options. I guess I wouldn't need envelopes.

@lala: Each channel would of course have separate output ports so you can send them through different effects in Audiobus
My idea is that panning could be included in an ENV/AMP page as well, by allowing different shapes/levels for left and right.
Hm, be careful to not make it to complicated, I think the fun with sector is that it is fast to work with

Well, many have asked for sequencing of panning. There could be a small toggle to choose between normal (linked) and decoupled values for left/right.. Anyway, I will probably just start with the basic idea of an ENV page and skip panning for now.
Hm, master panning (per channel) would be nice.
when you add the ability to have more than one sector ring it's going to be sweet JL, looking forward to that!

Maybe you can mash panning into the amplitude set up. Toggle button underneath each warp channel that simply applies it to panning vs volume? I mean, if we need four volume envelope warps at all times we're basically just being greedy!
Speaking of greedy... if there is any way to be able to set the scale and the probability of the amplitude warps at the same time (or at least always be able to see all values at once) that would be smashing. Obviously, I haven't tried this yet but I imagine, since they're so coupled, wanting to be able to know what's going on without a lot of toggling back and forth. I know that screen is somewhat tight... What if the warp icon circles filled to indicate probability when adjusting levels (and vice versa when adjusting probabilities)? That would be visually consistent with the step sequencer. Come to think of it, could we drag the slider to adjust probability and the circle to adjust level?
My face is melting at the possibilities of a mulitchannel Sector. Hoping to preview it when I get a new iPad via hand sync.

+1 for "don't make it too complicated to use"... But then it's just SO well designed and thought out right now I somehow doubt that's going to happen even with lots more functionality.

Thanks for your input everyone! I'm still far from starting on any new features. I'm currently working out to make IAA host sync perfect... Right now in my current developer version, it syncs perfectly with the latest Garageband (which sends IAA beat sync) while playing/recording, but then playing the recording back it looks like GB has chopped off the start of the recording. Maybe some "automatic latency correction" for when using hardware mic input? It sucks anyhow, and I'll see if there's anything I can do about it on my end - this is currently what holds up the next Sector bugfix/improvement update.
Any chance of iCloud drive integration in your apps?

Done with the IAA host sync, SECTOR now syncs perfectly inside latest Garageband or Auria. I don't own Cubasis unfortunately so don't know how it works there.
@j_liljedahl I really think you developer rock stars should have a way to get the major DAWs given to you free for integration testing.

Love the app. More than anything - more than panning, cc control, another channel - I would love the ability to SLAVE Sector. I run the ipad next to many pieces of hardware in the 'studio', and multitrack them all to DAW. Seeing as DAWs rarely have the ability to slave to an external clock, I'm having trouble implementing Sector into any compositions. Is it possible to do that? I imagine there's something preventing Sector from accepting external clock, as it's already so feature laden, it would be a puzzling oversight.
edit: Just read about the IAA host sync! Now, is there anyway to get it to appear, kind of like a plugin, in a major DAW like Logic or Ableton? Maybe through an iconnectmidi?
@syrupcore: We indie devs often share promo codes with each other, but I don't think Steinberg would be interested in giving me a free copy just to test its IAA implementation with my apps
@aleyas: I will look into implementing MIDI clock slave in the future. But IAA host sync is much more stable and precise! It works very well when used in a DAW on the same device. Not sure how it would/could work with something like iConnectMIDI.. The host sync time information is not sent through the usual audio pipeline of an USB audio interface.
One possible solution for using MIDI clock would be to have an app that is an IAA host, sends sync to its nodes, and can be slaved by MIDI clock. It could then host and sync any IAA node app to external MIDI clock. Maybe I should do such an app
I noticed that sector sends midi clock out to samplr by default. It just works.
This is useful because samplr kind of gives sector 6 more 'tracks' - although I know samplr does different things to sector and isn't scholastic.
Only thing is I noticed some drift happening quite quickly at 120bpm. Anyone else had the same issues? Admittedly i just had a quick play and I need to investigate further. This was on an iPad Air by the way.

If I'm not mistaken Loopy is capable of this. If it's not too difficult to implement though, keep the clock slave idea in mind! I'd love to take Sector out for a round outside of IOS

Working with sector right now and the warps are just so great.
Please, please, pretty please would it be possible to hit a button and copy all sectors, with warps, as individual slices (files) to audiocopy (or failing that be able to do it one by one).
It would make my month!
One by one is already possible:
First make sure it's not running.
Assign a sector to one of the T buttons by holding it while tapping the sector. Then tap Record, tap the T button, and tap Record again. Repeat for each sector you want to export. Files show up under Recordings.
Sometimes when randomizing the warp shapes I wish the forward/backward arrows randomized too within the same button/function... I know, that's lazy.
