No - it uses a text format: https://mysongbookapp.com/importing-overview/
You can also grab songs from different web sites but it's quite a complex process: https://mysongbookapp.com/using-chordie-com/

Yea no skidd sale in eastern US. Went to buy, but at full price. Dang it

  • What's funny is I posted the sale, went home, took a nap and went to strike. I missed the sale too 🤣🤣🤣

  • Skiiid eats a lot of cpu compared to similar apps.

On its own inside AUM it shows 67% dsp.
My poor iPhone 6s got warm and battery drained much quicker.

    Ruismaker Noir only 4% dsp.

Riffer controlling FractalBits = 8% total dsp

Skiid looks like it can be built in Drambo without too much effort and eating much less cpu for sure.

  • @jolico yeah that’s true. I usually make some sounds with it in aum, setup a sequence or two and record it. Record another while playing some of the parameters. Then play in the file player and remove SKIID.
Fun to play with and I often loose track of time

  • I definitely love the sounds it makes, though the sequencer still feels clunky to me, it could be so much more fluid to use...

I’d be interested to see or know how, I’ve got Skiid but find that in often frustrated with the interface, I should feed back more to the dev I guess as well...

I’m struggling to put it into words, but sound wise, it’s the tamed aggression, like it’s constantly about to break up but never does, and the variety that’s possible within that relatively limited range...

function wise, the per step changes, but without the really quick copy paste of something like drambo it gets frustrating pretty soon, the pads are great too, the way they mix between radically different sounds - possible with the slider I guess but hard to replicate the full experience, maybe with another mpe controller...

a way to morph that way in the sequencer would be great, I was trying to do that with my Dixie sequencer but got hung up on trying to script for the complicated possibilities... hmm you’ve got me thinking now, sometimes all it takes to set of a creative process is the right question :)

That's a very good point. Happened to me several times when building Drambonian castles 😃
