It seems that it is especially the sax that has to be restored. happens to me too, a few comments here mentioned it and on the screenshot someone posted, you also see that the app is restoring the geosax that very moment, hmm... my cello IAP never had to be redownloaded.

I'm having the same problem "this item is modified right now, try again later" when trying to buy the flute from Germany. with both my cable connection and mobile data.

It's a strange one for sure. Not that I expect to, but I really don't understand why this seems to happen in GeoShred.

  • Just for context and the developer, I got the bundle, for the Pro Version App and haven’t had any issues on ios 14.4

  • i didnt have any issues with using the app either, like I never had to re-load the sax when trying to play something. only when opening up the store there are problems.

@moforte: fwiw, I am in the U.S. and i have been surprised by the number of times that the AU has told me that I don’t own the the GeoShred Sax and has required me to go to the main app to restore purchases..which has led it to re-download the IAP.

I love the app. It does seem like it is very sensitive to thinking the IAP needs to be redownloaded. FWIW, I a, running iOS 13.7

    my earlier note:

    Folks,

When we first launched there was an issue where iOS garbage collection was deleting the GeoSWAM instruments from the App Cache. We plead mea culpa on that, and we addressed it in an update about 6 weeks ago.

    Thanks,

    -pat

  • Hi @moForte I appreciate you stepping into this discussion.
I've been on version 5.890.1 probably since the day it came out, and all I have at the moment is the sax - all 5 of the other SWAM instruments are showing the "supporting data deleted by Apple or third party, possibly due to insufficient storage" message. I've had ~100Gb free all along (currently 92Gb free), so it doesn't seem like insufficient storage is actually the cause.
With respect to trying a different app store location, over the last few days I've rebooted several times AND tried using ExpressVPN to make it look like I'm in several other countries, but it doesn't seem to be helping.
Have you got any other suggestions I could try?

Yep, that's my fault. Had I known it would turn into this I would have started another thread. Appologies :#

  • Hopefully this means new versions are on the way. I’ve been waiting for a new version of their Steel Guitar for... what... 5 years?

Is this the cheapest Tonestack IAP has ever been? I don't remember them being this low.

Wish there was more detail about the bundles. It's easier to look on their website than in the app. See: http://www.yonac.com/tonestack/bundles.html

EDIT: Here's a thread from last year that might be helpful, too. - https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/40211/tonestack-is-on-sale-including-iaps

It likely means they will soon offer replacements. I still like Tonestack (and nearly all of their other apps).

I hope you're right, but I'm not too optimistic about updates or new releases.

I have most of their apps, as well, but the only IAP I ever bought from them was Tonestack 3.0 expansion pack.

  • Yup, he must be getting ready to release ToneStack AU (he did somewhat confirm on Twitter that an AUv3 version of ToneStack was coming a few months back ;) )

  • Midi Check - Midi Diagnostic Tool is Free usually $1.99

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/midi-check-diagnose-tool/id1235759917

Rhymes - Rhyming Dictionary is Free 1 day only, or so the description says... usually $.99

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rhymes/id1469335230

  • Yeah, @Intrepolicious, there have been rumors of an AUv3 ToneStack for a long, long time.

Let’s not start a “Yonac ToneStack update is coming soon” thread, okay????

    😉

Please reach out to me directly at [email protected]. I'd like to see where you are getting the "supporting data deleted by Apple or third party, possibly due to insufficient storage" message. That message comes up if the app cache is deleted by iOS or if you have a cache cleaner running. However there is a mechanism to address this. Again please reach out to me directly so that we can get a diagnostic log from you (Menu> Help> Report Problem).

    It's called "GeoShred Questions".

The Wallpaper & Background App - Free usually $1.99

I know it's not AUv3 but still a solid, CPU efficient IAA!

Yeah, this is some secret app sauce on drums! My favorite Yonac app by a mile - and I've never used it on guitar.

    Drums??. Please expand on that!.
I use it a lot for accompanying little synth licks played with the guitar. Just cos I can find may around the guitar a lot better than a keyboard.

Well the drums can trigger Roxyn by threshold, allowing varying degrees of effect to come through. It can add some percussive / rhythmic harmonized elements to drums (which can just be mixed back further behind the drums, or take front and center). The various ways to overdrive the signal can make the drums incredibly heavy and powerful. So you've got this synced, harmonized rhythmic and overdriven signal that follows the dynamics of your drum kit. It's honestly remarkably, and no other app can mangle quite like it. I'd highly recommend experimenting around with it.

  • ok, now i'm really excited :D

I will!. What about the actual note it produces?. That’s supposed to be read from the guitars frequency. Right?. What about drums?. Do you control the note produced or is it somehow random?

  • it is my understanding that roxsyn doesn't synthesize but rather takes the original sound and filters/pitch shifts it, thats also why all the demos i hear still sound somewhat guitarish? (inherently different from, say, midiguitar + synth) so i guess it would rather not introduce harmonic content where there is none in the original sound
