I just know the first thing JP and Dan said when they got up this morning is F Kobamoto
hahahahahaha
I doubt that very much.

This is not the case on ios8.1....Audiobus 2 and its ios8 compatible apps have a significant ammount of issues that just destroys any flicker of workflow or creativity.....currently all i can reliably do with AB2 is sample from 1 app at a time into Audioshare and then open in to Gadget or Audiocopy into iMPC Pro....
Hope is still present but at the moment any dreams i had of robust multiroute statesaving app nirvana have been put on the back burner for a few months at the very least....:(
I'm going to reinstall impc pro now that I have an air. It's only ever crashed constantly and bugged out on my ipad3
??!…that sounds like what monzo experienced but he's on an iPad 2, it's never crashed on my iPad 3 but please report back how it's going for you on the air, is yours the air 1 or 2 and what os and impc pro version are you using?

If you use iFunBox on a PC you can create folder and sub folders and name them as you wish inside IMPC Pro.
After reading the comments I downloaded iMPC Pro. I can see what people are saying about the workflow being wacked. It has a lot of excellent sounds however ...

Latest build of impc pro on ios 7.1
Only ever given me grief, lost whole beats from crashes. So many weird glitches that drove me to delete it out of frustration.
iPad Air 1 on ios 8.1, I will d/l now and see how I go..
Ok after about half an hour jamming on the air:
Completely different beast, runs smoothly, no glitches and doesn't even feel like the same app.
Will be keeping it on the air

how so , could you expound on what you were doing and what workflow you didn't like?

thanks I know about ifunbox, but that was just an old story of something I went through with retro when they first released., they've addressed the issue now.
@Buska said:
hey Buska I have an iPad 3 like you used to have, how does the iPad air 1 feel compared to your old ip3, I'm primarily worried about running the impc along with cs spectral through iaa and wondering how much greater/ better performance you're getting with that scenario and in general?
@kobamoto said:
It's a massive upgrade and I'm very happy with the air. Gadget is much more useable and lots of apps that seemed to struggle now run smoothly. I got my iPad Air off ebay for about $330 AUD which was great, I sold my ipad3 for $250. Well worth the $80 difference. I have a second ipad3 that I haven't used since getting the air, I'm probably going to use it as a digital picture frame
csSpectral works nicely on the air, but I haven't tried it within impc pro yet.
@kobamoto reading some of your posts I thought the IAA fx slot in iMPC Pro was fixed. I tried and it doesn't sound like it is. Maybe I am missing some hidden setting but it doesn't sound like it's affecting all of the signal - like it's not 100% wet. No biggie, I would use InterFX anyway I can automate all of the 8 Turnado knobs with that.
thanks Buska, I'm going to be making a purchase soon, and I'm just afraid of not getting the right one air 1 or air 2, which ever one it is it's going to have to last for a while.
@firejan82 I haven't had any problems with the iaa slot in the impc pro, silly question but you're sure the sends are up all the way?
I will try it with turnado in a couple of hours and report back to you. btw what is Interfx?
interapp fx I believe.
@kobamoto
Interfx is an IAA Tabletop device.
I'm pretty sure all my IAA sends are all the way up.
Of course in Tabletop I would be affecting all the iMPC Pro tracks the same with InterFx - no sends for that.
Anyway, here's an image to illustrate what I'm doing and why I think it's not working. If I am missing something it should become apparent with the image so please let me know. All the IAA sends are up and with the Turnado reverb module and the TurnitOff preset I shouldn't be hearing anything but silence after the reverb tail but I am still hearing the dry signal and a lot of it.
@kobamto Well I just got the app but there are some things that rubbed me the wrong way. For example when you record a new patern using the drum pads live, in order to erase it you have to hold down the erase button and the pad of each sound in the pattern. Then you have to play though the entire pattern while holding down the pads. It's a pain.
Maybe I missed something but usually there is a clear pattern function that clears the pattern with a touch of a button. If you know a better way please tell.
@mkell424 you can select and delete notes from the Timeline, easy to make a selection around all the notes if you want to clear the whole thing. Or you could go to the Song page and hold and drag an empty pad on top of the one that's playing the sequence you want to delete.

Interesting, seems it isn't really fully compatible with older devices as they've claimed. I probably won't get one but I'm going to ask for a refund since it's unusable on my iPad 2
They may call it pro but it has no line in! Pretty much a useless sampler for my needs.

You can use the microphone on your device or a USB audio interface if you want to add samples.
@Paulinko said:
Just tried it with the iTrack Dock. It doesn't recognise it and is still picking up sound from the internal mic. Has anyone had any success with other interfaces?
I like the app generally, but there is definately a way to go before it lives up to promise of the promo vids. Question is whether any work is still being done. As pointed out above, it is still on into price, some months after release.
Every other single app I have recognizes my interface so no it does not have line in. Also please note for future reference that a mic is not line in either. This in no way can claim to be a pro app lol.
I was able to record an instrument using a Yamaha Audiogram 6 USB interface attached to powered USB hub, CCK plus a 32 pin to lightening adapter and later a Disney Spotlight mic that uses a 32 pin connector plus a lightening adapter on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 8.1 into iMPC Pro with no problem.
Oh goody I will run right out and purchase some new equipment so I can sample from line! I feel better already. Now that I know ONE, person who has a line in with theirs the problem seems so trivial.

Wonderfull, now we all need to buy 'iMPC Pro' certified hardware, or maybe they will include an audio-interface into the WEJ thingy...
My audio interface of choice for my iPad Mini and MacBook Air is the Behringer UCA-202 and it works with just about everything except iMPC and iMPC Pro. It is 'possible' to record after i plug in the device while in record mode but there is no monitoring and when recording is done the playback is from the internal speakers not the USB-Device with makes it kinda unpractical, to get playback back to the usb-device it's unplug and plug-in time again, and for record, unplug and plug-in...
So yeah, the core audio implementation in iMPC Pro really needs to be looked at because i doubt it only affects the iPad Mini...
Sure it's possible to record audio using other apps and import it into iMPC Pro but seriously a 'sampling workstation' without proper sampling, i give up...
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this Firejan82 I'm looking at it right now
@samu, I used to have your soundcard and it worked, but I've heard of some where it didn't, what I wish is that retronyms would chime in and let us know what's going on.
@Mkell424 you don't have to go through all of that to erase, just hit the erase button and then your erase choices will pop up in a box, then just touch the 'erase track' choice and you're good to go.
@firejan82 said:
Ok Firejan82 I get the same results as you, I wonder if it just works in a way that is counter to what we would think, I'm going to email sugarbytes and see what they say cause if you use another fx that is not supposed to just silence everything it clearly works correctly on my system, like if you throw some tonal fx on some drums and turn it all the way up the drums are all gone and only the fx is audible.
