It's more to do with their platinum series apps.
Have a look for 'Bass 808 synth' there was a huge discussion
about it and the marketing strategy around the series.
That was the one which was priced up to $999.99

Yeah, those are AudioKit apps. Tom Schulz is the developer of this app and it’s his only release on the AppStore. Is he somehow connected with AudioKit? If not, it’s pretty obvious he was inspired by their marketing approach. 😊

Nave can create wavetables from your own audio files automatically and it does speech synthesis, none of the others can do that.

nLog is just great. Although I already have a lot of virtual analog synths I instantly fell in love with this synth. 4 oscillators. It’s an iOS classic and became AUv3 later on. It‘s not on sale but I’m happy that this thread pointed me to it.
Yeah, nLog was among one of the first synth apps I bought way, way back in time
(I like the setup with relatively easy tweaking and pre-connected stuff in the right places).
The only 'thing' that disappeared when nLog got the AUv3 treatment was the option to use the synth as effects plug-in (ie. route external audio thru the effects). Same happened when Magellan wen't AUv3. But in Magellan 2's case I can forgive Yonac since Magellan 2 doesn't suffer from the 'Yonac Sound' that annoyed me like the plague. It was some kind of 'ringing sound' that is hard to describe but all synths from them prior to Megallan 2 suffer from it. I was worried Magellan 2 had it as well, but thankfully it didn't! (It's another synth worth to have in the collection, it has it's own 'sound').
Next synth I'm really looking forward to is the new one from ToneBoosters (Polyphony).

nLog is 'stable' now. I've not been able to make it crash at all...
...before the update it was easy to make the AUv3 bail bu tweaking it in a certain way.
I passed on this earlier this year at a similar price point and picked up iFX Rack with the full IAP because of price and it being universal. I was very disappointed in the lack of usable presets. While I’m all in favor of learning to use individual pieces to an effects chain, before I am comfortable doing that I want to be able to drop something like this onto a channel strip, hit a preset, and more or less go on my merry way. How are the presets in MixBox? Thank you.
This is what mixbox is all about, and it does it really well, and since this is exactly what I want to do, too, I'm very happy with it. FWIW

That’s a concern, but it’s easily one of the top five best-sounding synths on iOS to my ears.

Agreed, it is a lot of fun to play around with this one and has just had some new features added which was good to see.
