Perhaps acoustic drummer apps sound bit better but for electronic music we have a lot of (cheaper) alternatives. They also offer a free IAP for an AppStore review that makes their ratings questionable

Sure, a refund. And you state that Developer needs to pay for it? Highly unelbelievable
I remember one dev weighing in on this a while back; They said that Apple reserve the right to take their cut from a dev after a refund, but this dev hadn’t ever experienced them actually doing it. I can’t recall who it was that said it, but at the time I remember thinking that they were someone who’s word I would trust and that they had enough sales to see refunds on their stuff...

Just bought this, it is my first lumbeat drum app. It's not the one that I wanted the most, and I also read about the various issues forum members have had with some of them, so I have no idea how long the honeymoon will last
- but my quick first impression is pretty good.
@tja Some things are just rumors and shouldn't be believed. Apple is money hungry but to be so unreasonably money hungry to bill the dev for refunds is plain crazy and bad for overall health of the app ecosystem. Not mentioning that it lacks common sense.

I don't think these are rumors, but yeah, back to life:
Slashdot reader ravenscar did some digging in the Apple developer forums and found that "Apple has the right to keep its 30%... [but] rarely exercises this right and most developers see a 1 to 1 relationship on funds received vs funds refunded in these situations." They go on to say: "I can't find any cited examples of Apple keeping the commission."
