Finally picked up Apefilter and ape delay, definitely have their place in the toolbox, very cool fx. I hope the developer makes them available as AU.

    Love ApeFilter

  • yeah, idesnity with one stream is more than enough, its mad hatters for sure without IAP>

    Humid caves?

Stood way way out here too. Good'n @pierre.

  • In other words, music...

I personnally enjoy stria a lot, don't expect to make music with it,
it's great for spooky atmospheres (humid caves, rusted metallic structures in space, galactic winds, broken circuits...)

I hit the randomize button, tweak a bit and save what I can use

  • iVCS3, got it. Man I thought SynthQ was a weird one. iVCS3 has taken the cake on that one. I'm not exactly sure what the Hellavaloova I'm doing with it, but it's fun as heck to mess with.

On the appstore, the last screen shot shows an image with "snapshots pad". How do I get to that? And what is it used for?

  • I can tame SynthQ, but iVCS3 owns me! Lol

    True dat!

  • Do you know Hazel?

I was meaning music in the "narrow" sense, (melody, chord, rythm...)

Stria is a wonderfull sound design tool, I wish I had more time to fully grasp it

Snapshot pad is a four way mix pad between four set up presets. Press on the preset name and open up a list. This is where you normally go to preset manager. Further down the list is snapshot pad.

  • Got it, thanks!

  • Who needs ADSR when you've got a nice joystick to play with, plus when all else fails, it makes for a good game of Battleships.

  • @Peanutcram, awesome, short very informative video. Can't believe how much I learned in that short little bit.

If you have a MIDI sequencer, you can use this to drive Stria - which makes it easier to explore what it does. I was using Fugue Machine with Stria earlier and enjoying a muck about. I find the presets a bit samey, so randomise and tweak worked best for me.

  • Embarrassing, I totally missed the fact that stria takes midi in.... New worlds...

  • Hazel (Digital Jeepney) has made the best ivcs3 tutorials on YouTube, hands down. Watch them once, play with the app for awhile, then watch the videos again. Her free presets are very musical as well, as far as "musical" goes with ivcs3.

  • When I perfect a finely tuned, fair but stern AI to keep me on track in this life it will have Hazel's voice

  • Yes Delia and Hazel have my utter admiration, such dedication they have, when iVCS3 'the beast' stumps my 'man-brain', still it's fun to burn a few brain cells though.

The latest Arpist update is giving the IAP away for FREE, This is a very nice App but if searching it is for iPhone only, however works great on iPad too.

Had a quick doodle with Animoog on the train -very nice for free. Thanks!

  • Hey Arpist (predictive text don't fail me now) is pretty cool. Ran through the presets and it has quite a variety of patterns and modes.

The one thing I couldn't work out was how to get song mode to cycle through those blocks. The manual mentions a setting for number of blocks but it remains elusive.

Try holding on the first block moving left or right, up and down appears to be broken, number of beats.

  • I can't figure out in the app where to go to unlock the full/pro/additional features?? Arpist...........

Is it not unlocked when you updated it?

Oh, maybe, I had gotten the app a while ago, and I just re-downloaded it. Haven't used it much so wasn't sure.

  • Arpist, Man this is a fun little app. Couldn't get it to work with animoog, but Synthmaster worked a charm.
