  • Thanks, Littlewoodg!

I had many hours playing it from yesterday till now. I imagine if it has Animmog quality, it would be too excellent! I do not want to refund it, because it is a stylish app if quality becoming great, so I decide to keep it. Hope it has IAA midi in fixed, just has IAA audio part is not good enough to work inside Auria.

  • Weird that you can't see presets in the public bank, but that did work. I wonder how you can get a preset into the public folder for sharing.

Sounds like a rough patch for the dev.....I can relate. I'll send him some feedback as well.

Thanks for the help and insight @Littlewoodg! Definitely getting some interesting sounds from it!

  • @funjunkie27 @Kaikoo
No problem. It's a pretty great synth, reminds me (in its quad arrays of oscillators, filters, lfo and envelopes) of another favorite sleeper, zMors synth. They both do modern and vintage sounds with plenty of edge. And I find the programming very accessible. And Telepathy is so shiny and green, handsome.

  • Ive always been intrigued by this app. The interface looks beautiful and I love the microtonal aspect but I've always heard negative reviews. I'm much more tempted to purchase this from a single dev dude against the world vs a super massive evil corporation.

    Hmmm...decisions

  • I'm not seeing that @Paul...???

  • Haha, need more telepathically practicing to see public button! :D

You need to save your own patch first, then click your patch to decide to turn on that button or not! :*

  • I'm seeing it today, but flipping the switch to Public on a bank didn't add it to the Public folder.

  • @funjunkie I was able to download your presets from your funjunkie preset bank. Their preset system is pretty screwy.

  • Thanks for letting me know @Paul. Agreed on the screwy bit!

  • Been emailing back and forth a bit with the developer, he's getting his list together for the next update.

Im sending him logs but I really am just a beginner so I'm sure he'll benefit from other, more experienced members insight...

Excuse me, @Paul. Just a second to address your kindness, and excellence. ;) +1

@crzycrs Thank you, I appreciate that.

While Telepathy sounds very good, it can be very flaky in terms of audio and midi. Switching in and out of apps can cause the audio to come out of the speakers rather than the headphones so I have to unplug and plug the headphones back in again.

The virtual MIDI also seems to be quite flaky as to whether it makes a connection or not.

In Audiobus, it still has the old icon and consistently gives me the app unavailable message.

The preset system is quite confusing and the muddle of old presets which don't work with the updated app but can screw up your session and at times produce sound without playing anything is a bungle. The instructions on their website say to press the commit button to save your preset to your cloud account but for me it just freezes everything in the app. Really hope the developer sets up a beta testing program to iron out these sorts of GUI flaws so the app can live up to its potential and be predictable and reliable.

  • Also, Save As doesn't seem to work, since my patches seem to revert to the init patch. It would also be good to have a way to move patches to different folders in the browser screen.

@funjunkie27 it's wonky, but there is some clues here: http://votandsp.com/getting-started

"Save as" is for naming/renaming patches text, and "Commit" is for the actual saving. I might have this wrong as I too am wonky!

  • What works for me is to do a save as of a patch, change the parameters, and then save it in the browser afterwards.

  • Thanks for the tips guys. I'll keep at it for a bit to see if it will gel.

  • Good news, I heard back from the developer about the problems with Audiobus, the preset system, and MIDI. He's working on an update for them all and hopes to have an update with the Audiobus fix submitted before the holiday app review submission cutoff.

    @Paul
    Very cool, same here!

  • Great. I've written as well, so hopefully we can help Gary in getting some of the issues shored up.

  • So the dev gave me a code to try this new version out. And so far I've experienced no crashes etc (whereas v.1xx was a complete disaster here). So while taking his/their time to fix this once broken app, it definitely is fixed in this regard. Hats off I guess :)

  • @ChrisG thanks for sharing your experience. Looking forward to the updated app when we spend more time playing and creating patches.

  • Apps already cooler with yalls presets @Paul @funjunkie27

  • Glad to hear it @Littlewoodg. I'm not seeing anyone's presets other than the default banks though. Not sure what's causing that. What are the names of your public banks?

    Only 5 so far

    PLU Collective :)
    purzelifyable
    Thumbwasp

I got you guys banks to pop with the refresh button under the search box.

  • Tried the refresh, but I'm not seeing PLU, pure, or mine.

Anyone put the Modulation Matrix to good use yet? That part kind of reminds me of iSem. Is it true or is it different/unique?

  • Thanks @Littlewoodg it's interesting that I can see other people's presets in the public section, but not my own. Really will need to come up with some better patches, it may take a bit to figure out how to maneuver the various components around in meaningful combinations.

  • I have my bank set to private, not sure if it shows up for others tho. I thought I'd leave it on private until I've made at least a bunch of presets. But if it still uploads to the cloud, you could probably leave it for a while, it's nowhere near ready yet so..
