I'm not quite getting it also. I think it would be better to have an option to select or even long press the loop and have options for copy and paste.

    Graphics look sharper!

Anything in the entire loop region copy/insert/paste would work nicely.

Copy in timeline is still being developed. Right now you are just able to drag groups of loops left or right or choose a single loop

  • Ah I see that makes sense. Thanks man doing great work! Love the new sharper look!

Also, any update on the midi sync start? I wonder if Drum Session listens to midi timing clock coming from other apps. It has midi in but wondered if that would be in a specific channel or does it just happen in the background?

    Working on that still :)

Thanks. Yes enjoy holidays, those Facebook ones are great to get a better idea :)

  • Ok....stem support. Help me help you. Obviously we need to export separate tracks at once for each drum sound. Those of you with stem export experience....please tell me how you would like this to work and possibly what apps do it well so we can get this implemented ASAP

Qualified soldiers to the front please!

Similar to how Blocs Wave does it. The stems are saved as a Zip file at our choice of app location. So for example, could be saved to Google Drive for easy storage, or saved to AudioShare to unzip. Auria Pro automatically uncompresses the zip into its file folder.

  • The stems should be saved from Open In to another app (Audioshare essential) or to iCloud Drive or to Dropbox. Zip should be optional in case not every app supports it.

Nice to have would be an option to save the stems at 24 bits.

  • 24 bits, please!

    ^^^^^ this

I know I mentioned this on Facebook, but I'd love to be able to load an audio file into the Drum Session timeline and work on it all in the Drum Session app. Real time, no other apps necessary. Thanks for listening to us, Derek.

  • Ok...we are working in stem export as "open in" ...should work great in Auria, Cubasis, and AudioShare

We are looking at doing this...but getting some other things in place first....definitely looking for this to be a tangible feature in the future

Perfect. Would be great to choose MIDI or audio for the stems :)

That should be an option before you actually export the stems...entire timeline, loop region, audio/midi

  • Did anyone mention having a white skin? Was thinking about this playing ODYSSEi this morning, having paid a few extra dollars to make the thing (essentially) more playable by being able to change the background color. I may irritate the brethren by suggesting you do the same, but I would certainly buy the option to have the choice etc.

Definitely midi export. And btw, for audio stems will there be an option for dry vs processed?

Are the samples in the app at 24 bits? If not, is there a point in up-sampling them?

Obviously only worthwhile if the originals are 24 bit

I think everyone is going to LOVE the new look that's coming....much easier on the eyes and a lot sleeker

I have a specific kit designed especially for stem export. Dry as a bone and everything panned straight up the middle so you can tweak to your heart's desire...lol

  • Wow approaching 32K!!! Epic.

Wonder if that's a new Audiobus forum record.

  • Multiple IAA and AudioBus outs would be nice too. Sometimes it's preferable to keep tweaking live without having to commit to stems. The way I work, I'd rather just have the live outputs, then freeze or bounce down the tracks in the DAW when I'm ready rather than make multiple passes at exporting stems.

Might be easier to implement too? (Totally not sure on this one...)

  • 100000000% for me also.

I need another drum app like a hole in the head, but I give up. I gotta pull the trigger on this one when I get home. Thanks a bunch guys. ;)

On the bright side, me buying it increases the chances of it going on sale tomorrow exponentially.
